David Janin (born 9 May 1977 in Tremblay-en-France, France) is a French rugby union footballer.

He was selected for France in their 2008 Tour to Australia. His Test debut came against the Australia at Sydney on 28 June 2008.

Maurice Janin

Pierre-Thiébaut-Charles-Maurice Janin was a French general and military commander who was the chief of the Allied military mission in Siberia during the Russian Civil War. As such, he commanded the Czechoslovak Legion in Russia. Janin betrayed and detained Supreme Leader and Commander-in-Chief of All Russian Land and Sea Forces Admiral Alexander Kolchak and handed him over to local Socialist-Revolutionaries in January 1920. In February 1920, the Bolsheviks executed Kolchak in Irkutsk.

Hormizd was a Sassanid Persian prince, the third son of King Hormizd II and brother-in-law of King Shapur II. Imprisoned by him, he was freed by his wife in 323 and escaped to Constantinople, where Roman Emperor Constantine I helped him and gave him a palace near the shore of the Marmara Sea This palace became an important toponym of the city: its neighborhood was known in Byzantine times as en tois Hormisdou, meaning "near the houses of Hormisdas". Samuel ben Samson was a rabbi who lived in France and made a pilgrimage to Palestine in 1210, visiting a number of villages and cities there, including Jerusalem.
