Annastacia Palaszczuk is an Australian politician who served as the 39th premier of Queensland from 2015 to 2023. She held office as the leader of the Queensland branch of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) from 2012 until her resignation,and has been a member of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland (MLA) for the division of Inala since 2006. Palaszczuk is the fifth-most-tenured premier in Queensland state history and the first woman to win the premiership from opposition,she also presided over the first majority female cabinet in Australian state and federal history.

Beef Australia is an international exposition held triennially in Rockhampton,Queensland,Australia. The week-long expo has been held in the city during the month of May triennially since the inaugural event in 1988. However,it is also considered more generally as a celebration of the local beef industry in Central Queensland. In 2015,almost 90,000 people attended the event.

The state has criminal codes for hooning,graffiti,sharing intimate images without consent and fare evasion. Wage theft became a crime in 2020. The minimum age of criminal responsibility in Queensland is 10 years old.
Indigenous treaties in Australia are proposed binding legal agreements between Australian governments and Australian First Nations. A treaty could recognise First Nations as distinct political communities,acknowledge Indigenous Sovereignty,set out mutually recognised rights and responsibilities or provide for some degree of self-government. As of 2024,no such treaties are in force,however the Commonwealth and all states except Western Australia have expressed support previously for a treaty process. However,the defeat of the Voice referendum in 2023 has led to a reversal by several state branches of the Liberal and National parties in their support for treaty and a much more ambiguous expressed position by state branches of the Labor Party as well as Labor governments.
