David Lyons (born 10 May 1985) is an English rugby union player for London Irish in the RFU Championship. He plays at lock. He previously played for the Worcester Warriors, Moseley and Cornish Pirates . [1]

Its author uses the name Captain Charles Johnson, generally considered a pen name for one of London's writer-publishers. The prime source for the biographies of many well-known pirates, the book gives an almost mythical status to the more colourful characters, and it is likely that the author used considerable licence in his accounts of pirate conversations. The book also contains the name of the pirate flag the Jolly Roger and shows the skull and bones design.

He attended Oklahoma State University (OSU) at Stillwater and played college baseball for the Cowboys. The New York Yankees selected him in the 10th round of the 2009 amateur draft, but he chose to remain at OSU. The next year, the St. Louis Cardinals made him a ninth round pick, and he signed. Along with the Yankees, he has played in MLB for the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates.
