David Mark Pearce (born 23 May 1972) is a British guitarist, songwriter, sound engineer and record producer.
A native of Penzance (Cornwall, UK), David Mark Pearce began playing the guitar in earnest at the age of 15 after first learning to play the drums. His first experience as part of a band came at 18, followed by several more until he left to attend the London College of Music and Media. Upon completion, he received a diploma in Music Technology and began his career as a much sought-after engineer and producer. His band affiliations include the UK melodic indie band Union Jane and the Cornwall-based folk rock group Naked Feet. He left the group in the early 2000s.
In 2002, when one of his Allen and Heath colleagues, who was a friend of keyboardist Oliver Wakeman, asked Pearce to listen to some of Wakeman's tunes, he was impressed. He jokingly inquired as to whether Wakeman needed a guitarist, to which the answer was a surprising yes. After submitting his own work, in addition to several ideas he had for the band, he was hired. The first project that he and Wakeman worked on was the Anam Cara album mix, upon which he also contributed acoustic guitar support. [1]
It was the first of many projects with Oliver and the band; other projects have included: mixing and electric/acoustic guitar support for the CD single "The View from Here"; mixing Oliver's last commissioned album Angels and the relaxation albums Purification by Sound and Enlightenment and Inspiration; as well as electric guitar support on the OWB’s latest release, Mother’s Ruin .
Since his debut with the band at the Oakwood Center in December 2002, his association with the band has taken many interesting twists and turns, including support work with Arjen Luccassen's band Stream of Passion, appearing at the prestigious Fordhamfest and an appearance with Oliver at one of the UK Classic Rock Society's acoustic evenings, where he showed off his talent on classical guitar. A big highlight was the 2008 performance and filming of the Coming to Town – Live in Katowice DVD and cd (Metal Mind Productions) at the Wyspianski Theater in Katowice, Poland. Of his live performances it has been stated that Pearce "through his poseur look and attitude stole the show that evening" [2] and that he "often stole the spotlight with a colorful outfit and impressive solos". [3] Another seminal event for Dave was supporting Steve Howe at Oliver and Lisa Wakeman's wedding reception. [4]
Pearce wrote and recorded his own EP, 1997, which was also included on his debut album Pleasure Palace. He has been co-producer, sound engineer and provided guitar support to keyboardist Lisa LaRue on her album Lisa LaRue Project 2K9 World Class (Finger Woven Records), released in November 2009. He also co-wrote the song "There Are No Words" with LaRue for the project. His own tune on the album, "Tell Me Why", will also be included on his own melodic rock album entitled Strangeang3ls, (Pleasure Palace Records) released in 2010. John Payne provided the vocals. It will be available as an EP in November 2009, along with the EP "Shelter Me from the Rain", released earlier the same year. [5]
David Mark Pearce was also named 2008's eighth "Best Guitarist'" by Classic Rock Society Magazine in the UK for his work with the Oliver Wakeman Band. [4]
Yes are an English progressive rock band formed in London in 1968 by lead singer and frontman Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Peter Banks, keyboardist Tony Kaye, and drummer Bill Bruford. The band has undergone numerous line-up changes throughout their history, during which 20 musicians have been full-time members. Since February 2023, the band has consisted of guitarist Steve Howe, keyboardist Geoff Downes, bassist Billy Sherwood, singer Jon Davison, and drummer Jay Schellen. Yes have explored several musical styles over the years and are most notably regarded as progressive rock pioneers.
Richard Christopher Wakeman is an English keyboardist and composer best known as a former member of the progressive rock band Yes across five tenures between 1971 and 2004, and for his solo albums released in the 1970s. AllMusic describes Wakeman as a "classically trained keyboardist extraordinaire who plied his trade with Yes and developed his own brand of live spectacular in a solo act."
Peter William Brockbanks, known professionally as Peter Banks, was a British guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and producer. He was the original guitarist in the rock band Yes, and also the Syn, Flash, and Empire. Former Sniffin' Glue and NME journalist Danny Baker described Banks as "the architect of progressive music".
Vigilantes of Love is an American rock band fronted by Bill Mallonee, with many secondary players drawn from the musician pool in and around Athens, Georgia, United States. In its later manifestations in the later 1990s and early 2000s, Mallonee usually sang, played lead and rhythm guitar and harmonica, although in earlier bands he played drums.

Pendragon are an English neo-progressive rock band established in 1978 in Stroud, Gloucestershire, England, as Zeus Pendragon by guitarist and vocalist Nick Barrett. The word Zeus was dropped before the band started recording, as the members decided it was too long to look good on a T-shirt. There were a few personnel changes in the early days, but since 1986 the lineup has remained relatively stable and the band were still active as of 2020.

The Resonance Association is an English dark ambient band formed in 2006, brought together the pairing of Daniel Vincent and Dominic Hemy to create music that combines emotive guitar solos, dense atmospherics and blistering industrial rhythms. The band's music falls into a number of different categories including ambient, goth, noise, chill out, dark, krautrock and experimental.

Fly from Here is the twentieth studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes. It was released on 22 June 2011 by Frontiers Records, and is their only album featuring lead vocalist Benoît David and keyboardist Oliver Wakeman. Yes reformed in 2008 after a four-year hiatus with a line-up of David, Wakeman, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Steve Howe, and drummer Alan White. The band prepared material to record for Fly from Here during breaks in touring in 2010 and 2011, during which they enlisted former Yes frontman Trevor Horn as producer. After songs contributed by Wakeman were scrapped in favour of expanding the song "We Can Fly" into a 24-minute six-part "Fly from Here" suite, the band replaced him with former Yes keyboardist Geoff Downes as he co-wrote much of the new material.
Mystery is a Canadian rock band formed in 1986 by multi-instrumentalist Michel St-Père. The band released their eponymous debut EP in 1992 with Raymond and Gary Savoie on lead vocals, followed by their first album Theatre of the Mind in 1996 and then Destiny? in 1998, both with Gary on lead vocals. In 2007 the band released their third album Beneath the Veil of Winter's Face with singer Benoît David who would record two more studio albums with the band: One Among the Living in 2010 and The World is a Game in 2012. In 2015 the band released their sixth album and first with current singer Jean Pageau Delusion Rain, and released their seventh album Lies and Butterflies on July 14, 2018.

The Six Wives of Henry VIII Live at Hampton Court Palace is a live album and video by English keyboardist Rick Wakeman, released on 5 October 2009 by Eagle Records. It documents Wakeman's concerts on 1 and 2 May 2009 at Hampton Court Palace that featured his 1973 progressive rock concept album The Six Wives of Henry VIII performed in its entirety for the first time. A DVD and Blu-ray edition of the concerts was released.
From a Page is a mini-album by the English progressive rock band Yes, released on 25 October 2019 by Yes Records. It contains four previously unreleased tracks originally recorded by the 2008–2011 line-up of the group and intended for release on an album, but ultimately weren't included on Fly from Here. During this time, the lineup included bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White, singer Benoît David, and keyboardist Oliver Wakeman. Wakeman, who wrote most of the material on From a Page, was inspired to release it following Squire's death in 2015.
