David Mortensen is an American judge from Utah.

Biography

David Mortensen graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1993. [1] He served as a trial attorney until 2006, when he was appointed to the 4th District Court by Utah Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr.. He served as a presiding judge in that court for two years. [2] On May 6, 2016, Utah Governor Gary Herbert appointed Judge David Mortensen to the Utah Court of Appeals. Herbert stated, "For the past ten years Judge Mortensen has been an example of what a judge should be, dedicated to the rule of law, hardworking, and fair to all parties." [3] Mortensen previously served as a judge for the Fourth District Court. [4] Mortensen is member of Utah State Bar Fee Arbitration Committee as well as member of Utah Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Rules of Evidence. [5]

Stephen L. Roth is a judge on the Utah Court of Appeals. Roth was appointed to the Utah Court of Appeals by Governor Gary R. Herbert in March 2010. Herbert stated, "In his almost eight years as a trial court judge, Judge Roth has distinguished himself as an intelligent and hardworking public servant with a well-deserved reputation for fairness and integrity." Roth received his Juris Doctor degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1977. Roth was appointed to a judgeship with the Third District Court by Governor Michael O. Leavitt in 2002. Roth retired from the Utah Court of Appeals on August 1, 2017.

John A. Pearce is a Utah judge, appointed to the Utah Supreme Court in November, 2015 by Governor Gary R. Herbert. The Utah Senate later confirmed Pearce in a 21–0 vote in December 2015. Governor Herbert stated that "John has proven himself to be an exceptional legal talent in every aspect of his career and an exemplary jurist on the Utah Court of Appeals. He has a brilliant mind and is dedicated to the state of Utah. I am confident Judge Pearce is the right choice."

Lincoln Fillmore is a Republican Senator for Utah State's 10th Senate District. He was appointed by Governor Gary Herbert to fill a vacant seat caused by the resignation of Aaron Osmond.

Kate A. Toomey is an American judge. She was appointed to the Utah Court of Appeals by Governor Gary Herbert in 2014.
