David Pretot

David Pretot (born 1969) is a retired French alpine skier.

He competed in the slalom event at the 1987 Junior World Championships, finishing 7th. He later competed in the downhill and super-G events exclusively, including a lowly 44th-place finish at the 1996 World Championships. [1]

He made his World Cup debut in January 1992 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, also collecting his first World Cup points with a 20th place. He improved to 9th in January 1994 in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. After that, his best placement was an 11th place. His last World Cup outing came in January 2000 in Chamonix. [1]

He represented the sports club CS Megeve. [1]

David Pearson (racing driver) American racecar driver

David Gene Pearson was an American stock car driver, who raced from 1960 to 1986 in the former NASCAR Grand National and Winston Cup Series, most notably driving the No. 21 Mercury for Wood Brothers Racing. Pearson won the 1960 NASCAR Rookie of the Year award and three Cup Series championships. He never missed a race in the years he was active. NASCAR described his 1974 season as an indication of his "consistent greatness", finishing third in the season points having competed in only 19 of 30 races. Pearson's career paralleled Richard Petty's, the driver who has won the most races in NASCAR history. They accounted for 63 first/second-place finishes, with the edge going to Pearson. Petty had 200 wins in 1,184 starts, while Pearson had 105 wins in 574 starts. Pearson was nicknamed the "Fox" for his calculated approach to racing.

Ligety won the gold medal in the giant slalom at the 2011 World Championships. He successfully defended his world title in giant slalom in 2013 in Schladming, Austria, where he also won an unexpected gold medal in the super-G and a third gold medal in the super combined. Through October, 2015, he has 25 victories and 52 podiums in World Cup competition.

Jakov Fak is a biathlete born in Croatia and competing for Slovenia since 2010. In 2010, Fak switched his citizenship and started competing for Slovenia.
