David Mwaure Waihiga (born 1967) is a Kenyan politician and leader of the Agano Party.
Waihiga was a candidate for Governor in the 2013 Lamu local elections. [1]
He was a candidate for President of Kenya in the 2022 general election. [2] with Ruth Mucheru as his deputy running mate. He launched his 12-point manifesto on 4 July 2022. [3] [4] He argued that it's time for the country to move forward and start in a new slate in terms of leadership. He envisages his leadership to pledge alliance to the constitution; his pledge to family, women, youth, persons living with disability, county governments, workers, business owners, the economy, religious institutions, the environment, as well as a pledge to the international community. [5] He also promised to recover public monies stashed in offshore accounts as well as dissolve the Nairobi City County government. [6]
He conceded defeat in the presidential election on August 14, and endorsed William Ruto. [7]

According to Article 141 (2) (b) of the constitution, in case the Supreme Court upholds the victory of the president-elect, the swearing in will take place on "the first Tuesday following the seventh day following the date on which the court renders a decision declaring the election to be valid." Azimio la Umoja–One Kenya Coalition Party, popularly referred to as Azimio la Umoja, or simply Azimio, is a Kenyan political alliance and party headed by Raila Odinga. It is composed of the Orange Democratic Movement, the Jubilee Party, NARC–Kenya, KANU, and other parties. Former president Uhuru Kenyatta is the party's patron. The alliance fielded Odinga as its presidential candidate and Martha Karua as its deputy presidential candidate in the 2022 Kenyan election, which they lost.
