De Speld is a Dutch news satire website. The website publishes satirical articles and videos parodying the style and content of regular news outlets. De Speld was founded in 2007 by Jochem van den Berg and Melle van den Berg (no relation). Since its inception, the website's office has been in Amsterdam. In 2014 and 2015 De Speld was the 'most viral website' of The Netherlands. [2]

De Speld won the entertainment category of the 2011 Dutch website of the year election. [4]
In 2016, De Speld won the People's Lovie Award for best Best Writing, defeating The Guardian and Vice. [5]
Since 2012, De Speld publishes a column in national daily De Volkskrant twice per week. From 2010 to 2012 the website had a similar column in the now defunct free newspaper De Pers .
In the past De Speld made radio items for WNL and Radio Veronica and from 2014 to 2015 the website had a daily segment in Pauw, a late night talkshow.
De Speld has published two books: Nederland het Boek. In vijf miljard jaar van supermacht naar wereldrijk ('The Netherlands the Book. In five billion years from superpower to global empire') a satirical take on Dutch history, in 2010 [6] and Reisgids Binnenhof ('Binnenhof Travel Guide'), a faux travel guide to the Dutch governmental district, in 2015. The Kunstmuseum Den Haag is an art museum in The Hague in the Netherlands, founded in 1866 as the Museum voor Moderne Kunst. Later, until 1998, it was known as Haags Gemeentemuseum, and until the end of September 2019 as Gemeentemuseum Den Haag. It has a collection of around 165,000 works, over many different forms of art. In particular, the Kunstmuseum is renowned for its large Mondrian collection, the largest in the world. Mondrian's last work, Victory Boogie-Woogie, is on display at the museum.

Barendrechtse Voetbalvereniging Barendrecht, commonly known as BVV Barendrecht, is a football club from Barendrecht, Netherlands. Olli is a Dutch children's book character and a stuffed toy. The character Olli was created in 2004 by Dutch designer and film director Hein Mevissen along with writer Diederiekje Bok as a character for a bottled mineral water. Olli was one of the many characters used on the packages and posters of the bottled water brand and John's Phone. Olli was launched at a party of MTV In Rotterdam in 2004. In 2013, Olli was again part of a campaign, this time to save the Rotterdam Zoo Diergaarde Blijdorp. Olli is part of the Ollimania family which is the company that created and owns all characters. After the launch, Olli became the symbol of Rotterdam and a mascot for professional football club Feyenoord. On 10 September 2015, Ollimania and its creators Hein Mevissen and Diederiekje Bok donated a huge Olli statue to the Sophia children's hospital in Rotterdam.
In the Netherlands, the Boekenweek is an annual "week" of ten days dedicated to Dutch literature. It has been held in March annually since 1932. Each Boekenweek has a theme. The beginning of the Boekenweek is marked by the Boekenbal, a gathering that is attended by writers and publishers. Events are held across the country during the Boekenweek, such as book signing sessions, literary festivals and debates.
The Evenings: A Winter's Tale is the debut novel of the Dutch author Gerard Reve. It was released in November 1947 under the pseudonym "Simon van het Reve".
De puinhopen van acht jaar Paars is a political non-fiction book released by the Dutch political commentator and aspiring lawmaker Pim Fortuyn in 2002, two months prior to his assassination. In the book, Fortuyn sharply criticizes the then ruling "Purple" coalition government and its direct predecessor on nearly all areas of their policies.
Bert is a Belgian comic strip, written and drawn by Kamagurka, which appeared exclusively in the Flemish magazine HUMO since 1977. The NBV21 is an ecumenical Dutch-language Bible translation, created by the Dutch-Flemish Bible Society and published in 2021. The NBV21 is a revised version of the New Bible Translation of 2004. In comparison to the NBV, around 12,000 edits were made to the NBV21. A major difference was the implementation of highly-requested reverential capitalization, in addition to other edits motivated by new discoveries in Biblical studies. Reactions of readers to the previous version were also taken into account in the NBV21.
