Theodoor van Gogh was a Dutch director and film and television producer, actor and author. He directed Submission: Part 1, a short film written by Somali writer and politician Ayaan Hirsi Ali, which criticized the treatment of women in Islam in strong terms. On 2 November 2004, Van Gogh was assassinated by Mohammed Bouyeri, a Dutch-Moroccan Islamist who objected to the film's message. The last film Van Gogh had completed before his murder, 06/05, was a fictional exploration of the assassination of Dutch politician Pim Fortuyn (1948–2002). It was released posthumously in December 2004, a month after Van Gogh's assassination, and two years after Fortuyn's assassination.
Cinema of the Netherlands refers to the film industry based in the Netherlands. Because the Dutch film industry is relatively small, and there is little or no international market for Dutch films, almost all films rely on state funding. This funding can be achieved through several sources, for instance through the Netherlands Film Fund or the public broadcast networks. In recent years the Dutch Government has established several tax shelters for private investments in Dutch films.
The Golden Calf is the award of the Netherlands Film Festival, which is held annually in Utrecht. The award has been presented since 1981, originally in six categories: Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Culture Prize and Honourable mention. In 2004, there were 16 award categories, mainly because in 2003 the categories Best Camera, Best Montage, Best Music, Best Production Design, Best Sound Design were added.

The interviews showcase statements from trial witnesses, Jackson's nephew, and legal assistant to the prosecutor in 1993.
Chimène van Oosterhout is a Dutch TV personality, actress and singer. Since 1996, she has been presenting programs on Dutch television. She was the winner of several Dutch celebrity TV competitions. Van Oosterhout is also an actress. She appeared in the longest-running Dutch soap opera Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden and had one of the leading parts in the American movie "X-Patriots" (2001) directed by Darien Sills-Evans. She owns her PR company.
