Deathrealm [1] was a Horror fiction magazine edited by Stephen Mark Rainey. [2] It won the International Horror Guild Award for best periodical in 1995. [3]

It is based on and contains portions from Stone's previous works in Roadkill and December. The novel won the 1996 International Horror Guild Award for best first novel and was a finalist for the Bram Stoker Award for best first novel by an author offered by the Horror Writers Association.
