Dedy Yon Supriyono (born 14 August 1980) is an Indonesian politician who is the Mayor of Tegal,Central Java,serving since 2019.
Supriyono was born in Brebes Regency on 14 August 1980,the son of a successful local entrepreneur Muhadi Setiabudi. [1]
Between 2009 and 2014,Supriyono served in the legislature of Brebes Regency,where he was deputy speaker. [1] Supriyono was a member of Central Java's Provincial Council as part of the Democratic Party's faction in the 2014–2019 term,though he ran as Tegal's mayor during his tenure. [2] In the election,he won with 38,091 votes, [3] and he was sworn in on 23 March 2019. [4]
On 30 March 2020,during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia,Supriyono made a decision to implement a lockdown of Tegal,which restricted movement within the city as the city's government provided some support of food supplies to poorer residents. [5] The lockdown involved closing off of 49 access points into the city and the closure of public spaces,and was launched in response to a returning resident testing positive. [6]
Central Java is a province of Indonesia,located in the middle of the island of Java. Its administrative capital is Semarang. It is bordered by West Java in the west,the Indian Ocean and the Special Region of Yogyakarta in the south,East Java in the east,and the Java Sea in the north. It has a total area of 34,337.48 km2,with a population of 36,516,035 at the 2020 Census making it the third-most populous province in both Java and Indonesia after West Java and East Java. The official estimate as at mid 2022 was 37,032,410. The province also includes a number of offshore islands,including the island of Nusakambangan in the south,and the Karimun Jawa Islands in the Java Sea.
Tegal is a city in the northwest part of Central Java of Indonesia. It is situated on the north coast of the province of Central Java,about 175 km (109 mi) from Semarang,the capital of the province. It had a population of 239,599 at the 2010 Census and 273,825 at the 2020 Census;the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 290,988. Its built-up area made up of Tegal Municipality and 12 districts spread over Tegal and Brebes Regencies was home to 1,366,858 inhabitants as at the 2010 census. It is administratively separate from Tegal Regency,which borders it to the south and east;Brebes Regency borders it to the west.

Tegal Regency is one of the regencies in the northwest part of Central Java province of Indonesia,with an area of 878.79 km2 (339.30 sq mi). The administrative center used to be in Tegal City,in the northwest corner of the regency,but then Tegal City was administratively separated from the regency and formed into its own territory. The city was later replaced as the administrative center of Tegal Regency by Slawi Town,which is a suburb about 20 km (12 mi) to the south of the city and within the district boundary. The regency had a population of 1,394,839 at the 2010 Census and 1,596,996 at the 2020 Census;the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 1,623,595.
Brebes is a regency in the northwestern part of Central Java province in Indonesia. It covers an area of 1,769.2km2,and it had a population of 1,733,869 at the 2010 Census and 1,978,759 at the 2020 Census;the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 2,010,617. Its capital is the town of Brebes in the northeast corner of the regency,immediately adjacent to the neighbouring city of Tegal.

Large-scale social restrictions or LSSR was a health and public movement restriction issued by the Indonesian government in response to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic from spreading. The restrictions are implemented by local government with the approval of the Ministry of Health. It includes measures such as closing public places,schools,restricting public transport,and limiting travel from and to the restricted areas. On 7 January 2021,the Ministry of Home Affairs decreed the rename of the measure in Java and Bali into the Community Activities Restrictions Enforcement or CARE.
