The company was founded in 2021. It conducts dual-use research, development, and manufacturing activities in the field of high technologies. Its main areas of activity include the development of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems, tactical combat flight simulators, software development, and the provision of technical services. [4]

The company cooperates with firms from Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Slovakia, Pakistan and other countries specializing in telemetry, communications, and robotics. It also conducts research in UAV systems and provides technical, dealer, and distributorship services in this field.

Technology

DefTech develops unmanned aerial vehicles using tandem-wing aerodynamic configurations, in which both the forward and rear wings function as lifting surfaces. The company has also implemented morphing-wing mechanisms within tandem-wing platforms, allowing controlled changes in wing configuration during flight to support different mission phases. [7] [8]

Products

International and local exhibitions

Military-purpose products developed by DefTech were showcased in 2022 at Teknofest Azerbaijan  [ az ] [9] and at the ADEX-2022 international defence exhibition held in Baku. The company's products were subsequently presented at IDEX 2023 in the United Arab Emirates and IDEF 2023 in Turkey. Products were also exhibited at the ADEX-2024 exhibition held in Baku. The company's product range includes tandem-wing and tandem VTOL reconnaissance UAVs, gasoline- and electric-powered strike drones carrying reconnaissance and warhead payloads, as well as an 82 mm mortar quadcopter. These products have been covered by international specialized defence media outlets and have been assessed as examples of the development of locally designed unmanned systems in the region.
