Demdike Stare is an English dark ambient and electronic music duo formed by DJ Sean Canty and producer Miles Whittaker. The project was conceived in 2009 and is based in Manchester.
Demdike Stare was formed in 2009 by Sean Canty and Miles Whittaker, both of whom were already well-established in Manchester's music scene. Whittaker is also known for his work in Pendle Coven and under his solo projects, MLZ, Daughter of the Industrial Revolution, Suum Cuique, and Miles. Canty is a respected DJ and also known for his involvement with Finders Keepers, an archival label based in Manchester and London. Their mixtapes and albums incorporate a wide variety of influence from jazz to library music and industrial. They have steadily shifted their sound and setup throughout the span of the project. Autechre are an English electronic music duo consisting of Rob Brown and Sean Booth, both from Rochdale, Greater Manchester. Formed in 1987, they are among the best known acts signed to UK electronic label Warp Records, through which all of Autechre's full-length albums have been released beginning with their 1993 debut Incunabula. They gained initial recognition when they were featured on Warp's 1992 compilation Artificial Intelligence.
Peter Hook is an English musician, best known as the bassist and co-founder of the rock bands Joy Division and New Order. Hook often used the bass as a lead instrument, playing melodies on the high strings with a signature heavy chorus effect. In New Order, he would do this, leaving the actual basslines to keyboards or sequencers.

An alumnus of the National Youth Music Theatre in London, he is known for roles including Stringer Bell in the HBO series The Wire (2002–2004), DCI John Luther in the BBC One series Luther (2010–2019), and Nelson Mandela in the biographical film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom (2013). He is based in Ibiza. Nightmares on Wax was originally a group consisting of Evelyn and John Halnon, and then later with Kevin Harper.

The Gothsicles is an American industrial and electronic body music (EBM) band formerly based out of Chicago, Illinois before moving to Boston, Massachusetts in 2018. The group was formed in Wisconsin in 2002 by Brian "darkNES" Graupner, who handles vocals and synthesizers, and is the sole consistent member. The band has a rotating lineup of live musicians, including Matt Fanale of Caustic, Matt Slegel of Angelspit, and David Dodson of Abstinence. The band released its first LP, NESferatu, in 2006. Following albums included Sega Lugosi's Dead (2009), Industrialites & Magic (2011), Squid Icarus (2014), and I Feel Sicle, which was released on November 4, 2016. According to COMA Music Magazine, "The Gothsicles are one of the forerunners in Industrial Music for the Nerdy Masses."
