Dennis Ganendra (born 1965) [1] Malaysian entrepreneur and engineer, is the first chief executive officer of Minconsult Sdn Bhd, a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. [2] He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK.

Career

He has published and presented papers in international journals and at international conferences, on topics ranging from rationalising ESG, innovative management, ethical and value engineering, and transformation of business models challenged by crises. [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10]

Ganendra was appointed a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, UK, in 2018 and is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia [11] and Institution of Highways & Transportation. [12] He was Honorary Secretary General of The Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia (1998 – 2006) and served as a Director and Audit Committee Member of the Construction Industry Development Board, Malaysia (CIDB), and also as Trustee of the Construction Research Institute, Malaysia (2000 – 2008). [13]

Education

He read engineering at Cambridge University, Trinity Hall, where he was a scholar, and secured a Master of Science with Distinction in Soil Mechanics from Imperial College, U.K. His doctorate, also from Imperial College, "Finite Element Analysis Laterally Loaded Piles" has been a continuing source of reference in the engineering field. Peter Rolfe Vaughan ACGI, DIC, FREng, FICE, FCGI, MASCE, FGS, was Emeritus Professor of Ground Engineering in the Geotechnics department of Imperial College London.

It was established in January 2000 to oversee the development of bridge related software products at UF. Today, Bridge Software Institute products are used by engineers nationwide, both in state Departments of Transportation and leading private consulting firms. Bridge Software Institute software is also used for the analysis of bridges in various countries by engineers around the world.

Tan Sri Prof. Chin Fung Kee was a respected and outstanding Malaysian civil engineer in engineering practice, as well as engineering research and education. He is known for his excellence in geotechnical, structural and hydraulic engineering. He was a local pioneer engineer who played a key role in the development of engineering education, research and practice in the country. Minconsult is a private limited engineering consultancy in Malaysia. Established in 1962, the company specializes in multi-disciplinary engineering and project management. Capable of providing a wide range of engineering consultancy services in the civil & structural, mechanical, electrical, petrochemical and environmental fields. Minconsult have since established foreign offices in Pakistan, Australia, Kazakshtan and Bangladesh.

Tan Sri Dato' Ainuddin bin Abdul Wahid was a Malaysian educationist and the first inaugural Vice Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He made great contributions to educational institutions in Malaysia. In 2000, he received the Anugerah Maal Hijrah 1421H prominent figure award.

Rachel Susan Skinner is a British civil engineer with Canadian-based consultant WSP Global. She was named one of the Daily Telegraph Top 50 Influential Women in Engineering in 2016 and both the Best Woman Civil Engineer and the Most Distinguished Winner at the European Women in Construction and Engineering Awards in 2017.
