Dennis Kassian (born July 14, 1941) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player.

During the 1972–73 season, Kassian played 50 games in the World Hockey Association with the Alberta Oilers, recording six goals and seven assists to go along with 14 penalty minutes. [1]

Kassian also had a long career playing in various minor professional leagues across North America. He played four seasons in the American Hockey League with the Buffalo Bisons.

Zack Adam Kassian is a Canadian former professional ice hockey winger and pro scout for the Edmonton Oilers. He most recently played for HC Sparta Praha in the Czech Extraliga. During his major junior career, he won a Memorial Cup with the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in 2010. Selected in the first round, 13th overall, by the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Kassian began his career within the Sabres organization before being traded to the Vancouver Canucks in 2012. He played parts of four seasons with the Canucks before being dealt to the Montreal Canadiens in 2015. Kassian never played for the Canadiens, however, as he was suspended for substance abuse issues, and was moved to the Edmonton Oilers several months later. After seven seasons in Edmonton, Kassian was traded yet again to the Arizona Coyotes, spending one season there before retiring from NHL play during the 2023–24 season.

The Indianapolis Capitols/Cincinnati Wings were a professional ice hockey team that operated for one season in the Central Professional Hockey League (CPHL). Originally named the Indianapolis Capitals, the team started the 1963–64 season playing out of the Fairgrounds Coliseum in Indianapolis, but only nine games into the season a gas explosion during an ice show destroyed the Indianapolis Coliseum. The Capitols' parent club, the Detroit Red Wings, terminated their lease on the rink and moved the franchise to Cincinnati, Ohio, to become the Cincinnati Wings. The Wings played the remaining games of that season at the Cincinnati Gardens and relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, for the 1964–65 season to become the Memphis Wings.

The Winston-Salem Polar Twins were a minor league professional ice hockey team, based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The team was a founding member of the Southern Hockey League in 1973, and played home games at the Winston-Salem Memorial Coliseum. The initial owners of the team were a group of 15 investors, led by Ed Timmerman and Eldridge Hanes. In the 1973–74 season, Winston-Salem finished in fourth place, and lost in the first round of the playoffs under player-coach Don Carter. In 1974, Forbes Kennedy was brought in to coach, and improved results two years in a row, yet lost in the first round of the playoffs both seasons. In December 1975, the Polar Twins were sold to Jim Crockett Jr. Player-coach Ron Anderson took over in the fourth season, and the team was in last place in January. On January 7, 1977, during the team's fourth season, Crockett announced he was folding the team.
