Dennis Kohlruss (born 14 May 1988) is a German strongman competitor from Rastatt [1] and the reigning Germany's Strongest Man. [2] He's also a regular entrant to the Strongman Champions League and a seven time podium finisher. He has competed in 32 International strongman competitions and has won the 2020 SCL World Record Breakers and 2021 Megatron competitions. [3]

Background

At the age of 21, during his military service in the Bundeswehr, he stumbled across YouTube videos of 1998 World's Strongest Man Magnus Samuelsson and found enthusiasm for the sport of strongman.

In Bavaria, there's a 185 kg (408 lb) stone named 'Kohlruss stone' in his honour. He was the first person to shoulder it.

Oleksii Novikov is a Ukrainian professional strongman. He won the 2020 World's Strongest Man competition, becoming the second Ukrainian to win the title since Vasyl Virastyuk in 2004, and at 24 years, 278 days, he is also the second youngest winner in history, being only seven days elder than Jón Páll Sigmarsson in 1984. Jerry 'Iron Outlaw' Pritchett is an American strongman competitor and a regular entrant to the World's Strongest Man competition winning 4th place in 2020 and 3rd place in Master's category in 2021. Olga Liashchuk is a Ukrainian pro Strongwoman from Donetsk. She is a 2 x time Arnold Strongwoman Classic champion and winner of World's Strongest Woman, Strongest Woman in the World, and Shaw Classic Open (Women) competitions.

World's Strongest Viking was an annual international Strongman competition organized by Strongman Champions League and held for eight consecutive years from 2014 to 2021 with participation of top strongman athletes in the world. It was held under perilous weather conditions in winter, testing the athletes to their limits.
