Early life

Dennis Murphy a 1974 born motor sport cyclist and off-road car navigator, started the love for off-road at 15 years back in 1989, since then he has been active throughout. [1]

Racing career

He raced in a number of Dakar rallies as navigator, in 2017 driving with Giniel de Villiers. [2] With de Villiers he won the 2017 Kalahari Botswana 1000 Desert Race. [3]

He was named Donaldson Champion Cross Country Co-Driver in 2013. [4] and 2014 [5]

He now races for the Hero MotorSports International Rally team. Branch is the first Dakar stage winner from Botswana, after taking the stage 2 victory at the Dakar Rally 2020. Ross Branch also made history for his country and continent, becoming the first Botswana to podium at the Dakar, as well as first African to podium in the Rally GP class, coming 2nd place overall in the 2024 Dakar Rally Motorcycles.
