Derek Atkins (born 8 April 1961 in Glasgow) is a Scottish former football goalkeeper.

Atkins started his career with junior club Bridgeton Waverley before moving to Queens Park in 1978. He made 166 league appearances for the club before joining Clyde in 1983, where he stayed for 7 years.

He had short stints at East Fife and Stranraer before retiring from the senior game. He then moved to Beith Juniors where he is recognised as one of their greatest ever goalkeepers in his spell from 1990 to 1994 and was known as a penalty save specialist. He had 41 clean sheets from 140 appearances with Beith Juniors.

Ferguson then signed Leighton for Manchester United in 1988, but dropped him after he conceded three goals in the 1990 FA Cup Final. Leighton then had spells with Arsenal, Reading, Dundee and Sheffield United, and rebuilt his career after joining Hibernian in 1993. His professional career came to an end in 1970, when he was seriously injured after a dog ran onto the field of play. The dog ran into Brodie's knee after he grabbed the ball, which the dog was chasing. Brodie suffered severe ligament damage.

Patrick McDonagh was a Scottish professional footballer who played as an inside forward. A native of Partick, Glasgow, he started his career in junior football with St Anthony's before moving to England to join Football League Second Division side Barnsley in August 1926. After being restricted to reserve team football for the entirety of the 1926–27 campaign, McDonagh made his professional debut on 24 September 1927, scoring two goals in a 4–2 win at home to Clapton Orient. He made a further eight appearances for the team, before being dropped in early December and despite the sales of fellow forwards Eric Brook and Fred Tilson to Manchester City, McDonagh could not regain his place in the side.
