Derik Murray is a Canadian film and television producer. He is the founder and CEO of Network Entertainment.
Murray began his career as an advertising photographer and television commercial director before moving into television, film and publishing projects. His credits include co-producing Facing Ali , a feature documentary made with Lionsgate Entertainment, and I Am Bruce Lee , which had its US television premiere on Spike TV. He also produced I Am Steve McQueen, produced and co-directed I Am Evel Knievel, I Am Chris Farley , Johnny Cash - American Rebel for CMT, and The Cowboy for Discovery. He produced and directed the feature documentary I Am JFK Jr. and produced and co-directed the series Facing for National Geographic. In 2017 he produced the feature film I Am Heath Ledger which has aired on Spike TV and charted on the Australian Box Office. [1] [2]
His other projects include the television series Making the Cut, the ten-part series Legends of Hockey, and Stanley’s Game Seven 3D, a theatrical 3D film that premiered at the Hockey Hall of Fame. Additional producing credits include CBC Life and Times Biographies featuring Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Gordie Howe. In 2001, Murray was named as one of the "Top 100 People of Power and Influence" by The Hockey News . Murray's publishing projects include the large format pictorial books Arnold Palmer - A Personal Journey, Joe Montana with Dick Schaap and Muhammad Ali - In Perspective.
Murray's work has been screened at AFI Docs (then Silverdocs), the LA Film Festival, the Seattle International Film Festival, the Hawaii International Film Festival, the WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival, the International Film and Television Festival of New York, the Vancouver International Film Festival, the Banff World Media Festival (then Banff Television Festival), the Leo Awards and the Gemini Awards.

He grew up in Christchurch and attended the University of Canterbury, where he graduated with a M.A. in sociology and philosophy. Bruce earned a Diploma in Teaching from Christchurch Teacher's College and taught for 10 years. He was a professional musician for 20 years before he took up a career as a documentary maker. Bryan Bruce now resides in Auckland, New Zealand.

Hodge also won a Canadian Screen Award in 2014 for directing The Beetle Roadtrip Sessions with Grant Lawrence.
