The Carlton Football Club, nicknamed the Blues, is a professional Australian rules football club based in the inner-Melbourne suburb of Carlton North, Victoria. Founded in 1864, the club competes in the Australian Football League, and was one of the competition's eight inaugural member clubs in 1896.

Aaron Black is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the North Melbourne Football Club and the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited by North Melbourne with the twenty-fifth selection in the 2009 national draft and he made his senior debut in round 24 of the 2011 season against Richmond. In 2016, he spent the entire season in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and at the end of the season, he mutually agreed with North Melbourne to seek opportunities at another club despite being contracted to North Melbourne until the end of 2017. He was officially traded to Geelong in October. Black was delisted after 2018 though in 2019 he became part of the coaching team for the inaugural Geelong Cats AFLW side and also was named co-captain of the club's VFL outfit.

Sam Lloyd is a former Australian rules footballer. He played for the Western Bulldogs and the Richmond Tigers in the Australian Football League (AFL). Lloyd played as a midfielder and small forward and was renowned for his goal-sense and ability to win forward line one-on-one contests. He was recruited from state-league football as a mature-age player in 2013. While senior listed at Richmond in 2017, he won the Norm Goss Memorial Medal as best on ground during the club's reserves grand final in the VFL.
The 2017 Geelong Football Club season is currently the club's 118th season of senior competition in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club also fielded its reserves team in the Victorian Football League (VFL) for the 18th season.
Ryan Garthwaite is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He won a VFL premiership while playing with the club's reserves side in 2019.
Noah Balta is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by Richmond with the 25th pick in the 2017 AFL national draft and made his debut for the club in round 1 of the 2019 season. In 2019 he was a VFL premiership player while playing reserves grade football for Richmond and in 2020 he became an AFL premiership player with Richmond.
