Destry is an indie folk band centered on Michelle DaRosa.
Michelle DaRosa announced her departure from Straylight in June 2008 in order to work on a solo album. [1] The Destry project was made public in October 2008, when Sam Means of the Format posted that he had been recording music for them for a few months. [2] Destry's current work currently consists of collaborations between Michelle and four other artists, Means, [3] drummer Nico Childrey and Tyler Odom who played together in Cassino, and bassist Shaun Cooper of Straylight Run and Taking Back Sunday. [4]
DaRosa said all five have collaborated, but have never been in the same room together. The band was proven to have finally been all together by a MySpace blog post by her on February 2, 2009. [5] She also says the only members of a possible tour would be herself, Nico, and Shaun. In June 2009, the band went on a tour of the US with the Narrative. [6] Destry's first studio album, It Goes On, was released on October 30, 2009.

Two of the members, John Nolan and Shaun Cooper, previously played in Taking Back Sunday and have since rejoined the band.
The Format is an American indie rock band formed by Nate Ruess and Sam Means. Their style can be considered a mixture of indie, alternative, punk and folk music, with elements of 1960s and 1970s pop music. Though Means and Ruess are the foremost members of the band, they have played, toured, and recorded with Mike Schey, Mark Buzard, Don Raymond, and for the DVD recording and summer 2007 tour, The Honorary Title's drummer Adam Boyd. The Format chose their name to make fun of the music industry's inclination towards a cookie-cutter "format" for a hit. Formed in 2002, the band announced a hiatus on February 4, 2008. On February 4, 2020, they announced a return from their hiatus for a tour of special shows that were later cancelled due to the pandemic.
Interventions + Lullabies is the first album and second release by American rock band The Format. Produced and recorded by R. Walt Vincent, it was released on October 21, 2003 on Elektra Records. While the album is considered to be quite radio friendly, it did not produce any hit singles. This is possibly due to the absorption of Elektra Records into Warner Bros. Records and Atlantic Records shortly after the album's release.
Michelle DaRosa is an American musician, formerly of the band Straylight Run, for whom she was a vocalist, guitarist, and pianist.
