Devan Bailey (born 10 May 1989) is a British basketball player.

College career

Devan played two seasons of college basketball at Central Connecticut State, appearing in a total of 61 games, before leaving after his second year in 2011.

Professional career

After having a trial with Italian Seria A giants Victoria Libertas Pesaro in 2011, [2] Bailey signed his first professional contract with British Basketball League team Mersey Tigers. Throughout the 2011–2012 season, he averaged 9.4 points-per-game in 32 appearances. In 2012, he signed for Manchester Giants where he was reunited with Coach Jeff Jones who trained Bailey during his days in the Manchester Magic junior teams. [3] In 30 games for the Giants, Bailey averaged 8.6 points and 3.5 assists. In 2013, Bailey signed for Cheshire Phoenix.

International

Bailey is part of the Great Britain national basketball team, having earned 13 caps. He represented England at the 2012 event of the 3x3 World Championships in Greece. [2]

Aşık got his first chance playing professionally with the Turkish Basketball League team Fenerbahçe in 2005–06. After one season with Alpella, Aşık moved back to Fenerbahçe and eventually ended his Turkish club career with them in 2009–10. He gained recognition playing for the Turkey national team at the 2010 FIBA World Championship, and as the starting center, he helped Turkey win the silver medal. The Mersey Tigers were a professional basketball team based in the city of Liverpool, England. The club was established in 2007 as a start-up franchise of the British Basketball League, the country's elite competition. The Tigers started competing at the start of the 2007–08 season, and won the BBL Cup in their second season as well as finishing as runners-up in the league. In 2013 it was officially announced that the Tigers franchise had been withdrawn from the BBL due to financial difficulties that had plagued the club throughout the previous season, which resulted in the Tigers becoming the first ever BBL club to complete an entire season without a single victory.
