Devaughn Williamson (born 22 December 1997) is a Bahamian footballer who plays as a defender for United FC and the Bahamas national football team. [2]
In March 2015, Devaughn made his debut for the Bahamas in a World Cup qualifying match against Bermuda. [3]
Williamson was born to Philaseta and Conrad Williamson in the Bahamas. [4] His brother, Donovan, is a beach soccer player, who was part of the Bahamian team that competed 2015 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship. Williamson is studying maritime operations at the University of the Bahamas. Despite being sundered by following separate careers, they both had entered in the same college and were 2014 graduates of Aquinas College. [4] Williamson has also partaken in the Templeton World Charity Foundation Laws of Life essay competition in his time at Aguinas College Nassau. [5]

The Bahamas Football Association (BFA), is the official governing body of the sport of Association football in The Bahamas. Founded in 1967 and headquartered in Nassau, the federation is a full member of FIFA since 1968 and governs Bahamian football at the international, professional, and amateur levels, including: the men's and women's national teams, BFA Senior League, youth organizations, and the beach soccer national teams. BFA sanctions the national cup Bahamas President's Cup, Grand Bahama FA Cup, and New Providence FA Cup tournaments. The BFA is also a member of the Caribbean Football Union and CONCACAF.
Frank Garfield Rutherford, Jr. MBE is a retired triple jumper from the Bahamas. He competed in three Olympic Games, and won a bronze medal in 1992, becoming the first Bahamian Track and Field Olympic medalist. He now runs a program which prepares young Bahamian students to play college basketball and American football in the United States. He was a four-time participant at the World Championships in Athletics.
Thomas Robinson Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Nassau, Bahamas. The largest stadium in the country, it is currently used mostly for soccer matches. The stadium currently has a capacity of 15,000 people, but has the ability to be expanded to hold 23,000 people. The 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was the ninth edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, the premier international beach soccer championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. Overall, this was the 19th edition of a world cup in beach soccer since the establishment of the Beach Soccer World Championships which ran from 1995 to 2004 but was not governed by FIFA.
