Devil's Advocate is a two-part British television miniseries, written and created by Barbara Machin, that broadcast on BBC1 between 4 and 5 January 1995, and ran for two consecutive nights. [1] The series stars Lena Headey as Clare Rigby and Alice Krige as Alessandra Locatelli. [2] Notably, the series has never been re-broadcast or released on DVD.

Contents

The series also stars Peter Wight as Inspector Costello, David Morrissey as Matthew Salt, Yolanda Vázquez as Louise Santini, Ralph Brown as Demagio and Nigel Terry as Vittorio Vulliamy. The series was directed by Adrian Shergold and produced by Peter Norris via their own production company, BBC Television. [3]

The second series of the British police procedural television programme Line of Duty, was broadcast on BBC Two between 12 February and 19 March 2014. The series follows the actions of the fictional Anti-Corruption Unit 12. AC-12 is led by Superintendent Ted Hastings who is assisted by his team DS Steve Arnott, DC Kate Fleming, and DI Matthew "Dot" Cottan. The unit investigates DI Lindsay Denton, the sole survivor of an attack on police officers, and the possibility of a corrupt police officer conspiring to murder a protected witness in the ambush. Jessica Raine stars in a single episode as DC Georgia Trotman. Beginning with this series, Dunbar and Parkinson are credited as main cast members in the opening credits. Supporting characters include DCC Mike Dryden, Jo Dwyer, DCS Lester Hargreaves, DC Nigel Morton, and Tommy Hunter. The series was created and written by Jed Mercurio, who also serves as an executive producer. Filming took place in Belfast in 2013. Helen Clare was a British singer who was well known in the 1930s and 1940s through her work in variety, radio, television and recording. Clare worked extensively in light entertainment, appearing on BBC Radio and recording with British dance bands. Her distinctive soprano voice saw her working with some of the biggest names of the era, including bandleaders Jack Jackson and Henry Hall. She was one of the last surviving British singers who had been active in the 1930s.
