Devinder Dutt Sharma (born 20 January 1950) is a former Indian cricket umpire. In his international umpiring career, he stood in only a single ODI game, in 2001. [1]
In cricket, an umpire is a person who has the authority to make decisions about events on the cricket field according to the Laws of Cricket. Besides making decisions about legality of delivery, appeals for wickets and general conduct of the Game in a legal manner, the umpire also keeps a record of the deliveries and announces the completion of an over.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the global governing body of cricket. It was founded as the Imperial Cricket Conference in 1909 by representatives from Australia, England, and South Africa. It was renamed as the International Cricket Conference in 1965 and adopted its current name in 1987. The ICC has its headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Aleem Dar PP is a Pakistani cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer. He has been a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires. Dar won the David Shepherd Trophy three years in a row from 2009 to 2011, after being nominated twice in 2005 and 2006. Aleem Dar, Marais Erasmus, Richard Kettleborough, Kumar Dharmasena and Simon Taufel were the only umpires to have received the award from its inception until 2017. Before becoming an umpire, Dar played first-class cricket as a right-handed batsman and a leg-break bowler for Allied Bank, Gujranwala, Lahore and Pakistan Railways teams.
The 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup was the 11th Cricket World Cup, a quadrennial One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament contested by men's national teams and organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand from 14 February to 29 March 2015, and was won by Australia, defeating New Zealand by 7 wickets in the final. This was the second time the tournament was held in Australia and New Zealand, the first having been the 1992 Cricket World Cup. India were the defending champions having won the previous edition in 2011, but they were eliminated by eventual champions Australia in the semi-finals.
The International Panel of ICC Umpires was established by the ICC in 1994 following trial in 1992/3, to ensure that one neutral umpire would stand in every Test match. It is made up of officials nominated from each of the twelve Test playing cricket boards. From 2002, its role in Tests was largely supplanted by the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires.
The Indian cricket team began a tour of Australia in December 2007, playing the 4 match Test series for the Border Gavaskar Trophy, followed by a single Twenty20 match on 1 February 2008. They also participated in the Commonwealth Bank tri-series against Australia and Sri Lanka from 3 February to 4 March.

The International Panel of ICC Development Umpires is a panel of international cricket umpires chosen by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Established in 2005, its members are drawn primarily from the organisation's associate members. It stands alongside, and is intended to offer a career path into the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires. Umpires on the panel are not restricted to matches between associate teams, and have officiated at One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International level.
Raman Sharma was an Indian cricket umpire. He stood in one Test match in 1994 and eleven ODI games from 1993 to 1997. Sharma died when the jeep he was driving collided with a bus in 1999.
Anil Chaudhary is an Indian cricket umpire. He stood in his first Twenty20 International (T20I) on 10 October 2013, in a match between India and Australia. His first One Day International (ODI) as an umpire, between India and the West Indies, was played on 27 November 2013. He was one of the 17 on-field umpires for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In January 2020, he was named as one of the sixteen umpires for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup tournament in South Africa.
Devendra Sharma is a former Indian cricket umpire. He stood in five ODI games between 1997 and 2002. In 2011 he was removed from umpiring by the ICC following unprofessional conduct, which reportedly included supplying information about the pitch and conditions before a game.
S. K. Sharma was an Indian cricket umpire. He stood in ten ODI games from 1993 to 2002.
The BCCI Awards are a set of annual cricket awards given by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The awards recognise and honour the best Indian international and domestic cricketers for the past year. The awards were first given in 2006–07. The C. K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award was first presented in 1994. It is the highest honour bestowed by BCCI on a former player and is considered as one of the most prestigious awards in cricket.
Virender Sharma is an Indian international umpire and former cricketer. He played in fifty first-class and forty List A matches for Himachal Pradesh between 1990 and 2006. Sharma stood as an umpire in the Twenty20 tour match between India A vs South Africans on 29 September 2015.
The 2018 Asia Cup was a One-Day International (ODI) cricket tournament that was held in the United Arab Emirates in September 2018. It was the 14th edition of the Asia Cup and the third time the tournament was played in the United Arab Emirates, after the 1984 and 1995 tournaments. India were the defending champions, and retained their title, after beating Bangladesh by three wickets in the final.

He was reserve Umpire in India Vs Australia ODI.He has stood in matches in the Ranji Trophy tournament. He stood as an onfield umpire in the 2021 Indian Premier League, for the first time, in a group match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
The Sri Lanka cricket team toured India in November and December 2017. The original schedule had the tour consisting of three Tests, five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and one Twenty20 International (T20I) match starting in February 2018.
The West Indies cricket team toured India in December 2019 to play three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. In November 2019, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) swapped the venues for the first and third T20I matches. Ahead of the tour, Chris Gayle confirmed that he would not be playing in the ODIs for the West Indies, after he announced he would be taking a break from cricket.
The England cricket team toured India during February and March 2021 to play four Test matches, three One Day International (ODI) and five Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The Tests formed part of the inaugural 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship, and the ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. In December 2020, the full itinerary was released with three venues hosting the entire tour.
The India cricket team toured South Africa from December 2021 and January 2022 to play three Tests and three One Day International (ODI) matches. The Test matches formed part of the 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship.
