Dheel Dam is an ancient dam located in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan state, India. [1] [2] [3]

In 2022 Dam recorded the highest rainfall, 176mm. [4]

The Sahibi river, also called the Sabi River, is an ephemeral, rain-fed river flowing through Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi states in India. It originates in the eastern slopes of the Saiwar Protected Forest (PF) hills in Sikar District, enters Jaipur district near the foot of these hills, and after initially flowing southeast and east turns northeastwards near Shahpura and continues further till it exits Rajasthan to enter Haryana and further drains into Yamuna in Delhi, where its channeled course is also called the Najafgarh drain, which also serves as Najafgarh drain bird sanctuary. It flows for 300 km of which 157 km is in Rajasthan 100 km is in Haryana and 40 km in Delhi.

Nevta Dam is located in Sanganer Tehsil of Jaipur district in Rajasthan, India. The total catchment area of the dam is 443,583 ha and has a storage capacity at the 16 ft (4.9 m) gauge marker of 236.72×10^6 cu ft. The dam is situated 5 km (3.1 mi) from Muhana and 13 km (8.1 mi) from Mansarovar. <span class="mw-page-title-main">2022 KwaZulu-Natal floods</span> April 2022 flooding in South Africa

In April 2022, days of heavy rain across KwaZulu-Natal in southeastern South Africa led to deadly floods. Particularly hard-hit were areas in and around Durban. At least 435 people died across the province, with an unknown number of people missing as of April 22. Several thousand homes were damaged or destroyed. Critical infrastructure, including major roads, transportation, communication, and electrical systems, were also impacted by the flooding, and this damage greatly hampered recovery and relief efforts. It is one of the deadliest disasters in the country in the 21st century, and the deadliest storm since the 1987 floods. The floods have caused more than R17 billion in infrastructure damage. A national state of disaster was declared.

Panchana Dam is a freshwater man-made wetland located in Gudla village, Krauli district, Rajasthan, approximately 100 km southeast of Bharatpur. Positioned upstream of the Gambhir River at Krauli, water from this river is crucial for reaching Keoladeo National Park by September. Failure to release water could impact migratory bird visits to the park. The dam stores water from five rivers, supplying Krauli, Sawai Madhopur, and Bharatpur.
