Plot

Greg Heffley is expecting a surprise birthday party, but it does not happen. Even worse, his whole family has forgotten it was his birthday. After the disappointing incident goes viral, which Greg suspects was done by Mrs. Fairweather, who won the last place at a pie-baking competition which Susan Heffley participated in, his parents are shamed by social media and are guilted into throwing him a "blowout" party which Greg plans to maximize for as much presents as possible. The party ends in disaster, but Greg ends up getting the trading card that he wanted (the Three-eyed Theeble), only to realize that it is no longer rare, due to popular demand. However, Greg starts a successful party-hosting side hustle.
