Dick Averns (born March 1st 1964) is a Canadian artist who produces installations, sculptures, photography, text and performances.
Averns writings include Art in the Face of The Project for The New American Century and Cataloging Canada’s Schools of Art and Design for Artichoke magazine. Averns' recent installation Preoccupation revolves around the conceptual location of Ambivalence Blvd.
The University of Calgary is a public research university located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The University of Calgary started in 1944 as the Calgary branch of the University of Alberta, founded in 1908, prior to being instituted into a separate, autonomous university in 1966. It is composed of 14 faculties and over 85 research institutes and centres. Dr. E.P. Scarlett High School is a public senior high school located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The school was named after Earle Parkhill Scarlett, a Calgary physician, educator, scholar and writer. The school is run by the Calgary Board of Education.
