Marcel Wanders is a Dutch designer, and art director in the Marcel Wanders studio in Amsterdam, who designs architectural, interior and industrial projects.

The Dutch Furniture Awards is a former annual furniture design competition in the Netherlands, organized from 1985 to 1998. This was an initiative of the Jaarbeurs Utrecht and the Vereniging van Vakbeurs Meubel (VVM).
The Netherlands Design Institute is a former institute for the promotion of design in the Netherlands. It was located in the premises of the former Museum Fodor at Keizersgracht in Amsterdam. Its mission was to stimulate high quality design in the Netherlands, to stimulating the interest in it, and to encouraging discussion about the profession.

The Tabakspanden are a group of buildings standing on the Spuistraat in central Amsterdam, adjacent to the Keizerrijk and Wijdesteeg alleyways. Named after a previous owner called Hendrik Tabak, they were mostly squatted from 1983 onwards, although Peter Klashorst also rented an apartment and gallery space. Two of the buildings are registered as rijksmonumenten.
