Didier Casadeï (born 10 April 1971) is a French rugby union coach and former international. [1]
Born in Brive-la-Gaillarde, Casadeï was a prop and made his debut for France in the 1997 Five Nations win over Scotland at Parc des Princes that secured the country's fifth grand slam. He gained two further France caps that year, first against Romania in Bucharest, then a home Test against the Springboks. At club level, Casadeï had his biggest success during his time at CA Brive, as loose-head prop in the 1997 Heineken Cup final win over the Leicester Tigers. [2]
Casadeï, who was CA Brive's caretaker coach in 2018, took charge of CA Périgueux for the 2020–21 season, which was suspended due to Covid. He then left to be forwards coach at Racing 92, before returning to CA Périgueux in 2023. [3]
Thomas James Smith was a Scottish professional rugby union player who played as a loosehead prop. Born in London and schooled in the Scottish Highlands, Smith began his career with Dundee HSFP and then Watsonians before joining the Caledonia Reds as the game changed from amateur to professional. A brief spell at Glasgow Warriors followed before two seasons at Brive and then eight successful years at Northampton Saints. At international level, Smith earned 61 caps for Scotland and was selected for two tours with the British & Irish Lions, in 1997 and 2001, starting six consecutive tests. After retiring from playing, he went into coaching.
Graham Christopher Rowntree is an English rugby union former player and current head coach of Irish club Munster. He played loosehead prop for Leicester Tigers and England. He was capped 54 times for England, despite having to compete for his position with one of the world's most capped forwards, Jason Leonard. Rowntree was born in Stockton-on-Tees. He was educated at John Cleveland College, Hinckley, Leicestershire, which has also produced other rugby union players.
Jason Leonard is an English former rugby union player. He won a then-record 114 caps for England men’s rugby team during a 14-year international career.
