Didmus Wekesa Barasa is a Kenyan politician and ex-military officer (Kenya Defense Forces technical wing). He is the current member of parliament representing Kimilili constituency since 2017. [1]

He became affiliated to the United Democratic Alliance party shortly after his exit from the Jubilee Party in 2021. Barasa is a former member of Amani Peace Coalition (2013), United Democratic Forum Party (2016) and the Jubilee Party. [2] [3] [4]

Noah Mahalang’ang’a Wekesa is a Kenyan politician. He is affilaited to the Party of National Unity and was elected 1988, 2000, 2002 and in the 2007 Kenyan general election to represent the Kwanza Constituency of the National Assembly of Kenya. He lost the seat to Ferdinand Wanyonyi in March 2013. Wekesa was Assistant Minister at Agriculture and Livestock Development from 1988–1992 and May 2004 as Assistant Minister for Livestock and Fisheries. He was the Minister for Science and Technology from December 2005 to 2007 and also acted as Minister for Education in 2007. He was the Minister for Forestry and Wildlife from 2008–2012.

The Tachoni is one of the 17 sub-tribes that form the Luhya people of western Kenya, known for its gallant defense of the Chetambe in 1895 when resisting British rule. Tachoni people were masters at building forts such as Chetambe, Lumboka, and Kiliboti. It was their defiance of colonialism that led to the colonial government putting the entire region occupied by the Tachoni under administration of paramount chiefs drawn from Bunyala and Wanga communities. haring the land with the Abanyala, the Kabras, Nandi, and Bukusu tribe. Most Tachoni clans living in Bungoma speak the ' Olutachoni dialect of the Luhya language, and they are subsequently often mistaken as Bukusus. They spread to Trans-Nzoia County especially around Kitale, and to Uasin Gishu County near Turbo, Eldoret. Among the Tachoni clans are Abachikha -further divided into Abakobolo, Abamuongo, Abachambai,Abamakhanga, Abacharia, and Abakabini, Abamarakalu, Abangachi -who are further divided into: Abawaila, Abakhumaya and Abawele, Abasang'alo, Abasamo, Abayumbu, Abaluu, Abarefu,Abanyangali, Abamuchembi, Abamakhuli, Abasioya, Abaabichu,Abacheo, Abamachina,Abaengele, Abamutama, Abakafusi, Abasonge, Abasaniaka, Abaabiya also known as Abakatumi, Abakubwayi,Abakamutebi, Abakamukong, Abamweya, Abalukulu,Abawande, Abatukiika, Abachimuluku. Note that the morpheme 'aba' means 'people'. The Abakhusia/abasamo of Kabras are also Tachonis who speak Kikabras. Abayumbu and Abaluu are twin brothers, hence do not intermmary.

Samuel Arama is a Kenyan politician who has served as a member of the National Assembly for the Nakuru Town West constituency since 2013. He is a member of the Jubilee Party, having previously represented the Orange Democratic Movement.

Eric Muchangi Njiru Karemba is a Kenyan politician and a businessman, and currently the Member of Parliament (MNA) for Runyenjes Constituency, serving a second term and also the Chairman of the Labour and Social Affairs committee. Runyenjes is in Embu County in Eastern part of Kenya. Karemba belongs to the United Democratic Alliance party under the Kenya Kwanza alliance led by the current and the fifth president of Kenya Dr William Ruto. He is a graduate of Kenyatta university with a Bachelors of Education and was a student leader at the same university. Karemba made history by becoming the first Akorino MP in the history of Kenya. Karemba currently serves as the Chairman of the Labor and Social Affairs committee of the National Assembly.

He is the immediate former Special Secretary for Strategy and Delivery in the Office of the Deputy President.
