Diego (stylized DIEGO) is a Hungarian store chain that sells mainly laminated floors, PVC tiles, carpets, curtains, draperies and wallpapers. The company was founded in 1992 [1] and as of October 2023 has a network of 116 stores in Hungary, [2] 33 stores Romania [3] and 17 stores in Slovakia. [4]

History

Diego started in 1992 as a small company importing carpets. In 1995, the development in the franchise system began with the opening of the first stores. Diego mainly focused on carpets, PVCs, and laminated floors. For a bigger service, Diego introduced curtains to its selection in 2005. In 2010, Diego introduced wallpapers to its selection. [5]

Own brands

Diego has own brands since the very beginning. Woodstep is a company of Diego working with laminated floors, Tulipo is a company working with carpets. Diego has also plans for a new brand focusing on carpets. [5]
