Dilkusha is the commercial centre of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. [1] It is a part of the larger Motijheel area in the city. Historically, the Nawabs of Dhaka used to have a garden palace here in the 19th and early 20th century. Dilkusha was the name of that palace. The area also has a professional football club called Dilkusha SC. [2]

The title of nawab, similar to the British peerage, was conferred upon the head of the family by Queen Victoria as a recognition of the first Nawab's loyalty and contribution to the social welfare activities.

Dilkusha is a residential colony in Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, India. Near the banks of the River Gomti, the colony has been the residence of government officials for more than a hundred years. Dilkusha is situated 2 km from Hazratganj in central Lucknow, and is close to amenities and schools such as Loreto and La Martiniere. Dilkusha means "my heart is happy".

Dhaka Senior Division Football League, or the First Division Football League, is the third tier football league in Bangladesh. Until 2006, it was the top-tier league of the country. It was officially established in 1948 as Dhaka League, while Bangladesh was still under Pakistani control. Upon the creation of the new national top-tier professional league B. League in 2007, Dhaka League was merged with Dhaka First Division League, renamed as Dhaka Senior Division Football League and re-introduced as the second tier league. Finally after the creation of Bangladesh Championship League in 2012, it became the third tier. The two top-finishing teams are automatically promoted to the Bangladesh Championship League.

Dilkusha Kothi is the remains of an eighteenth-century house built in the English baroque style in the quiet Dilkusha area of Lucknow in India. Today there are only a few towers and external walls as a monument, though the extensive gardens remain. The house was shelled during its involvement in the Lucknow siege in 1857 together with the Residency and the nearby school of La Martiniere.
