Dinesh Parmar

Dinesh Parmar is an Indian politician and medical doctor. Parmar hails from Jamnagar. [1] He graduated from M.P. Shah Medical College. [2] He was named Minister of State of the Gujarat government in 1991. [3] [4]

Parmar was elected to the Gujarat Legislative Assembly in 1990 (as a Janata Dal candidate), 1995 (as an Indian National Congress candidate) and 2012. He was defeated in the 1998 and 2007 elections. [2]

Parmar was fielded by Congress for the Kachchh seat in the 2014 Indian general election. [1] [2]

He was one of 57 Congress MLAs suspended for wearing slogans against Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah. [5]

The history of Gujarat began with Stone Age settlements followed by Chalcolithic and Bronze Age settlements like Indus Valley civilisation. Gujarat's coastal cities, chiefly Bharuch, served as ports and trading centers in the Nanda, Maurya, Satavahana and Gupta empires as well as during the Western Kshatrapas period. After the fall of the Gupta empire in the 6th century, Gujarat flourished as an independent Hindu-Buddhist state. The Maitraka dynasty, descended from a Gupta general, ruled from the 6th to the 8th centuries from their capital at Vallabhi, although they were ruled briefly by Harsha during the 7th century. The Arab rulers of Sindh sacked Vallabhi in 770, bringing the Maitraka dynasty to an end. The Gurjara-Pratihara Empire ruled Gujarat after from the 8th to 10th centuries. While the region also came under the control of the Rashtrakuta Empire. In 775 the first Parsi (Zoroastrian) refugees arrived in Gujarat from Greater Iran.

Aruvanpalli Puthiyapurakkal Abdullakkutty (born 8 May 1967) is an Indian politician. He was elected as the National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party on 26 September 2020. He has also served as the BJP Vice President of Kerala state. He is also a former member of Lok Sabha from Kannur and former MLA from Kannur constituency of Kerala state.

The Indian state of Gujarat was created out of the 17 northern districts of former State of Bombay. The Mahagujarat movement was instrumental in the formation of a separate state, Gujarat. He is a Former Member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from the Mandvi Assembly constituency since 2002 to 2007 and Abdasa Assembly constituency since 2012 to 2014. in 2014 by-election, Shaktisinh Gohil was elected. Patel was then associated with Indian National Congress but after 2014 he is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party. Later in 2019, he was suspended out of BJP.

Jasvantsinh Salamsinh Parmar is an Indian politician and former surgeon who is serving as member of Rajya Sabha from Gujarat since 2024, representing Bharatiya Janata Party.
