The Diocese of Espoo (Finnish : Espoon hiippakunta, Swedish : Esbo stift) is the newest of the nine dioceses of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. The diocese came into existence in 2004 after the Diocese of Helsinki was split in two.
The seat of the diocese is the Espoo Cathedral and its first bishop was Mikko Heikka.
After Heikka's successor Tapio Luoma was elected Archbishop in 2018, Kaisamari Hintikka was elected to succeed him in 2019.

Luoma (Finnish) or Bobäck (Swedish) was a station on the VR commuter rail network located in Kirkkonummi, Finland, between the stations of Mankki and Masala. The station had two tracks, with track one serving trains towards Kirkkonummi and track two towards Helsinki. The station was opened in 1932, then named as Nokka. In that time, there was another station named Luoma, located about a kilometer more towards Helsinki. The station was out of use between 1944 and 1956, as the Porkkala Cape served as a Soviet military base and the frontier passed through the station. When the original Luoma station was shut down in 1978, the Nokka station was renamed as Luoma. Because of very low number of passengers, the station was closed a day after neighbouring station Mankki on 27 March 2016.
Kari Tapani Jalkanen, better known by his stage name Kari Tapio, was a Finnish schlager and country & western singer. During his career, he was one of the most popular singers in Finland for decades; having sold over 830,000 certified records, he is the best-selling soloist in the country. Kari Tapio was born in Suonenjoki, Finland. In the 1960s he performed in his home town Pieksämäki with the local bands ER-Quartet and Jami & The Noisemakers. In 1966 he took singing lessons from Ture Ara.
The F-liiga is the top men's floorball league in Finland. The league was founded as Salibandyn SM-sarja in 1986 by the Finnish Floorball Federation (SSBL). It was renamed to Salibandyliiga for the 1994–95 season. The Salibandyliiga was operated by the company SSBL Salibandy Oy, a subsidiary of the Finnish Floorball Federation. Mikko Esa Juhani Heikka is a Finnish former bishop of the Evangelic Lutheran Church. He was ordained into priesthood in 1968 and became a Doctor of Theology from the University of Helsinki in 1983. Mikko Kärnä is a Finnish politician. He served as a member of the Parliament of Finland from 30 April 2015 until 12 June 2018 for the Lapland constituency. He was also the mayor of Enontekiö from 2012 to 2015. He is a member of the Centre Party.
Kiekko-Espoo is a Finnish professional ice hockey club founded in 2018 as a continuation of the Kiekko-Espoo team originally founded in 1984. Kiekko-Espoo men's team plays in the Mestis, where they have won one championship (2022–23), and the women's team plays in the Naisten Liiga. Kiekko-Espoo's junior teams play at national league levels in U16, U18 and U20 juniors. The junior teams of Espoo Blues and Kiekko-Espoo played under Kiekko-Espoo Juniorit ry until 2014. Kaisamari Hintikka, born 27 June 1967, in Helsinki, Finland, is a Finnish bishop in the Diocese of Espoo. Hintikka assumed the role of bishop on 1 February in 2019 with her inauguration taking place on 10 February 2019 at Espoo Cathedral. Hintikka is the third bishop of Espoo Diocese and the second woman to hold the position of a bishop in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland, following bishop Irja Askola.
