Dionne Stax (born 22 April 1985) is a Dutch journalist and newsreader.
She attended the Elzendaal College and studied communication sciences, with her bachelor's degree at Tilburg University and master's degree at the University of Amsterdam.
Stax started in 2007 at NOS Headlines, the predecessor of NOS op 3, as a trainee. There she gave weekly reviews of NOS Headlines for the digital theme channel NOS Journaal 24. After completing a second internship at the inland editors, Stax graduated from the University of Amsterdam in 2009.
In February 2012, Stax became one of the presenters of the news bulletin NOS op 3 on television. In addition to presenting, Stax works as an in-house editor at NOS News. [1] In June 2013 she became one of the fixed faces of the morning and daytime broadcasts of the NOS Journaal; since May 2015, Stax has also presented the evening bulletins. On 5 December 2015 she presented her first 8pm news.
Stax was on air during the Paris attacks in January 2015, breaking the news of both the Charlie Hebdo shooting and the hostage-taking at a Jewish supermarket two days later. From 2015, Stax presented the election results as the successor to Herman van der Zandt. [2] [3]
On 27 April 2016, Koningsdag, in Zwolle, Stax was the first journalist to interview the princesses Amalia, Alexia and Ariane, after asking the parents of the princesses some questions in the same interview. [4] In 2017, she presented a programme at Omroep MAX and made the documentary series Lady Di & Dionne for NTR about the life of Lady Diana. In 2016, she wore a shirt with Palestinian black and white kufiyyeh in a gesture against Israeli human rights violations.

The Nederlandse Omroep Stichting is one of the broadcasting organisations making up the Dutch public broadcasting system. It has a special statutory obligation to make news and sports programmes for the three Dutch public television channels and the Dutch public radio services. It is funded by the Dutch government.

Ajaxjournaal is a Dutch football news magazine revolving around AFC Ajax, a football club from Amsterdam, that was aired on TV channel RTV Noord Holland from 2004 until 2007. During the show the creators Maarten Bax and Onno Vos would interview the players and coaches about the coming or preceding matches, as well as air footage from the games and from the club's training grounds Sportpark De Toekomst, while summarizing the weekly news and events circulating around the club. The show aired every two hours after 17:30 CET on Fridays, and every hour after 9:30 CET on Saturdays from 2004 until 2007. No longer aired on national television since 2007 however, Ajaxjournaal is still broadcast online, and is also made available for viewing on screens all around the Amsterdam Metropolitan area, from McDonald's restaurants to screens on board trains of the Amsterdam Tramway Network, as well as the Amsterdam Metro transit system.

On 7 January 2015, at about 11:30 a.m. in Paris, France, the employees of the French satirical weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo were targeted in a shooting attack by two French-born Algerian Muslim brothers, Saïd Kouachi and Chérif Kouachi. Armed with rifles and other weapons, the duo murdered 12 people and injured 11 others; they identified themselves as members of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, which claimed responsibility for the attack. They fled after the shooting, triggering a manhunt, and were killed by the GIGN on 9 January. The Kouachi brothers' attack was followed by several related Islamist terrorist attacks across the Île-de-France between 7 and 9 January 2015, including the Hypercacher kosher supermarket siege, in which a French-born Malian Muslim took hostages and murdered four people before being killed by French commandos.
Elsa Jeanne Cayat was a French psychiatrist and psychoanalyst and a columnist for the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo in Paris, France. She was one of 12 victims of the Charlie Hebdo shooting and was killed along with the seven journalists, maintenance worker, one visitor and two police officers. She was the only woman working for Charlie Hebdo to die in the attack. She was one of two Jews killed in the attack, along with Georges Wolinski.

Princess Annemarie of Bourbon-Parma, Duchess of Parma and Piacenza is a Dutch consultant, former journalist, and a member of the House of Bourbon-Parma and the Dutch royal family. She worked as a television journalist, specializing in European politics, for the Dutch station NOS Journaal. In 2011, she authored the book De smaak van macht, which focused on the lives of five former Dutch prime ministers. In 2019, Annemarie left journalism and became the first woman to make partner at the consulting firm Ward Howell International.
