Disen Gage is a Russian rock band from Moscow.

History

The band was formed in 1999 by Yuri Alaverdyan and Konstantin Mochalov on guitars, Nikolay Syrtsev on bass guitar and Eugeniy Kudryashov on drums.

Despite having gained a certain degree of popularity in intellectual and student's communities, the band members decided to stop their musical activities: they were too busy pursuing their academic careers in the Moscow Institute of Bio-Organic Chemistry at the time.

In 2004 their recorded material reached the RAIG music label, which released it as the band's debut album under the title The Screw-Loose Entertainment. The album received positive reviews at many web sites, [1] including Dutch Progressive Rock Page, [2] Delusions of Adequacy (USA), [3] In Rock (Russia), Grrove (Sweden), [4] Splendid (USA), [5] Progwereld (Netherlands), Art Rock Pl (Poland), [6] Chaos Vault (Poland), [7] and Mmusic in Belgium (Belgium), [8] Nota-Bena (Russia), [9] Impakte (Maroc). [10] The album received a 9/10 rating from the Disagreement web site. [11]

The success of the debut album prompted the band to resume its normal activity.

Later in 2004 Yuri Alaverdyan left both the country and the band for an academic career abroad.

In 2006 Disen Gage released its second album, Libertage which received Neformat-Boom (Russia), [12] In Rock (Russia), Nota-Bena (Russia), [13] Salon Audio-Video (Russia), [14] Muz-Prosvet (Ukraine). [15]

In 2008 the Disen Gage released its third studio album, ...the reverse may be true. Stylistically, it blended the structural constraints of the debut with the improvisational freedom of their sophomore release. [16] Like the previous two, this one received high marks, good reviews coming again from many different countries. Among those who praised the LP were Inoi Lip (Russia), [17] Sonic Frontiers (USA), [18] Rate Your Music (USA), [19] Progwereld (The Netherlands), [20] Sea of Tranquility (USA), DisAgreement (Luxembourg). [16]

In 2015 Sergey Bagin left the band and the keyboardist Fyodor Amirov joined them. [21]

We Lost the Skyline is a live recording by Porcupine Tree, recorded during an in-store performance at Park Avenue CDs in Orlando, Florida on 4 October 2007, with 200 fans in attendance. Although it was originally planned that the full band would play, lack of space dictated that only the two guitarists/singers Steven Wilson and John Wesley did. This one-off performance was captured by a remote recording facility and the complete 8 song, 33 minute show is now being released in a mail order only CD, but the band are currently negotiating a low-key release for the CD through a number of independent stores in the USA that have supported Porcupine Tree over the last few years. However, the CD was released in Poland in small quantity.

<i>Gathering Speed</i> 2004 studio album by Big Big Train

Gathering Speed is the fourth studio album of the English progressive rock band, Big Big Train. It was released in 2004 by Treefrog Records. It is dedicated to the airmen and women who lost their lives in the Battle of Britain. The song The Road Much Further On was originally titled You Can't Draw Love. It was inspired by Spawton's then seven-year-old daughter. The album as a whole was a return to progressive rock for the band. It is the first album in which Sean Filkins recorded vocals, replacing Martin Read. It is also the only album in which Laura Murch recorded vocals, and the only Big Big Train album not to feature any songs solely written by Greg Spawton.

Do You Like It Here Now, Are You Settling In? is the fourth album by the Welsh rock band Man and was released in November 1971. The album was recorded in August at Charles and Kingsley Ward's Rockfield Studios near Monmouth in Southeastern Wales. Sessions took place soon after the renowned 'All Good Clean Fun' tour of Switzerland, although a brief break in the hectic German tour schedule during the late spring had resulted in two tracks being written at a studio in Swansea, Wales. Critical reaction to the new album was positive. The album title is apparently a Swansea saying, usually directed at pub landlords of exceptionally long standing.

<i>Infestation</i> (album) 2010 studio album by Ratt

Infestation is the seventh and final studio album by American glam metal band Ratt. It is the band's first original effort since their self-titled album in 1999, and the first album since the death of Robbin Crosby in 2002.
