The Doha Team was a Qatari UCI Continental road cycling team that existed from 2007 to 2009. [1] The team was sponsored by Doha, the capital city of Qatar.

Mohammed Ahmed bin Sulayem or Mohammed ben Sulayem is an Emirati former rally driver.
Garmin-Cervélo was an elite professional women's cycling team registered in Great Britain and racing on the UCI Women's Road World Cup circuit. The team was previously known was Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team, but in 2009, with the creation of the UCI Professional Continental team Cervélo TestTeam, the women's team changed names to match the men's team. When the men's Cervélo TestTeam merged with Garmin–Transitions for the 2011 season, the team changed names again, becoming Garmin-Cervélo to again match the men's team. In 2007, the team was known as Raleigh-Lifeforce-Creation and prior to 2007, the team was known as the Univega Pro Cycling Team.
Christopher Malcolm Newton is a road and track racing cyclist. Newton is a multiple world champion and triple Olympic medalist.
Simona Krupeckaitė is a Lithuanian professional track cyclist. She is the 2009 500 m Time Trial World Champion and World Record holder at 33.296s, and the 2010 Keirin World Champion. She also won the 2009, 2010 and 2016 Lithuanian Sportsman of the Year award. In 2010 Krupeckaitė reached one more world record. This time she achieved 10.793 s record at Flying 200 m time trial event.

Sheilla Castro de Paula Blassioli is a volleyball player from Brazil, who represented her native country at the 2008 Summer Olympics and in the 2012 Summer Olympics. On both occasions the Brazilian national team won the gold medal. She also played the 2016 Summer Olympics, when Brazil placed fifth.
The FIDE Grand Prix 2008–2010 was a series of six chess tournaments that formed part of the qualification for the World Chess Championship 2012. It was administered by FIDE, the World Chess Federation. The event was won by Levon Aronian, with Teimour Radjabov second and Alexander Grischuk third.
Benjamin Richard Maher MBE is a British show jumper. He represented Britain at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, 2009 European Championships in Windsor, 2012 London Olympics, 2016 Rio Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He won the team jumping gold at the London Olympics with Team GB, their first team jumping gold medal for 60 years, and an individual gold for Great Britain at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He also won bronze at the 2011 Europeans Championships in Madrid, Spain. He has won many international Grand Prix, including the Olympia Grand Prix, the King George V Gold Cup at Hickstead and an FEI World Cup Qualifier Grand Prix at Wellington with various rides.
Sport in Qatar is primarily centred on football in terms in participation and spectators. Additionally, athletics, basketball, handball, volleyball, camel racing, horse racing, cricket and swimming are also widely practised. The FIDE Women's Grand Prix 2009–2011 was a series of six chess tournaments exclusively for women, which formed part of the qualification cycle for the Women's World Chess Championship 2011. The winner of the Grand Prix was to challenge Hou Yifan—the 2010 world champion— in the third quarter of 2011. As Hou Yifan also won the Grand Prix, Koneru Humpy as the runner-up qualified for the championship match.

Azzedine Lagab is an Algerian road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI Continental team Groupement Sportif des Pétroliers. During his career he won medals in Algerian national championships, in African and Arab cycling championships as well as at the All Africa Games and the Pan-Arab Games.
Scott Brash MBE is a Scottish showjumper. He began riding the horse Hello Sanctos in early 2012. They competed as part of the British Team at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London winning a gold medal in the team jumping event. In 2015 he became the first rider to win show jumping's Rolex Grand Slam, all three of the sport's most prestigious events in a single year, earning the sport's biggest individual prize of 1m Euros (£735,000).
Mouhssine Lahsaini is a Moroccan road bicycle racer. He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Men's road race, and in the men's time trial, finishing 34th, 6 minutes and 45 seconds behind winner Bradley Wiggins.
