The Saskatchewan Roughriders are a professional Canadian football team based in Regina, Saskatchewan. The Roughriders compete in the Canadian Football League (CFL) as a member club of the league's West Division.
Ronald Lancaster was an American-Canadian professional football player and coach in the Canadian Football League (CFL). As the starting quarterback for the Saskatchewan Roughriders for 16 seasons, he led the team to its first Grey Cup championship in 1966 and is the franchise's all-time leader in passing yards, attempts, completions, touchdowns, and interceptions. At the time of his retirement, he was the CFL's career leader in passing yards and still ranks sixth overall as of 2016. After his retirement as a player, he served as a head coach and general manager in the CFL; he led his teams to two Grey Cups and currently ranks fourth all-time with 142 regular season wins. He was also a colour commentator on the CFL on CBC from 1981 to 1990. At the time of his death, he was the Senior Director of Football Operations of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame (1982), Canada's Sports Hall of Fame (1985) and the Wittenberg University Athletic Hall of Honour (1985).
William Edwards Blackmon is a former American football safety and return specialist. He played college football for the Boston College Eagles, and was drafted in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. He has also played for the New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars, Washington Redskins, and briefly for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.
Jeffrey Alan Fuller, Jr. is a former American football wide receiver. He was most recently a member of the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. He played college football at Texas A&M. He has also been a member of the Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks in the NFL, and Calgary Stampeders and Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL. Fuller is currently CEO of a leading marketing firm, Fuller Marketing Corporation, out of Oklahoma City, OK.
Eddie Lowe is a former linebacker who played nine seasons in the Canadian Football League for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He was recruited in 1983 from the University of Alabama. Eddie Lowe is currently mayor of Phenix City, Alabama. He is the first black mayor of Phenix City.
Hugh Charles is a former Canadian football running back. He was originally signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2007 before signing with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2008. He played college football at Colorado. He was traded to Edmonton in 2011.
Jerome Messam is a former professional Canadian football running back. He most recently played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the BC Lions. After being traded to the Edmonton Eskimos, he became the seventh Canadian running back since 1955 and the first since 2000 to rush for over 1,000 yards while also winning the CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian Award. Messam played college football for Graceland University.
Larry Dean is a Canadian football linebacker for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He played college football at Valdosta State. Dean has also been a member of the Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and Edmonton Eskimos.
Korey Jones is a former professional Canadian football linebacker. He first enrolled at Garden City Community College before transferring to the University of Wyoming. He attended Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, Colorado. He was a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders team in the Canadian Football League (CFL) that won the 101st Grey Cup in 2013. Peters has also been a member of the Iowa Barnstormers, Omaha Nighthawks, Minnesota Vikings, Houston Texans, and Houston Roughnecks.

Tuineau A. Alipate was a gridiron football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). After playing college football at Washington State University, Alipate played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL from 1989 to 1992. In 1989, he was part of the Roughriders team that won the 77th Grey Cup. After being cut by the Roughriders, Alipate tried out for multiple NFL teams and received a practice squad position with the New York Jets. He went on to play for both the Jets and the Minnesota Vikings from 1994 to 1996, primarily on special teams. He also had a short stint with the Green Bay Packers in 1995.
