Dennis Earl Green was an American football coach. During his National Football League (NFL) career, Green coached the Minnesota Vikings for 10 seasons. He coached the Vikings to eight playoff appearances in nine years, despite having seven different starting quarterbacks in those postseasons. He was posthumously inducted into the Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor in 2018.
Robert Luther "Lute" Olson was an American basketball coach, who was inducted into both the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame. He was the head coach of the Arizona Wildcats men's team for 25 years. He was also head coach for the Iowa Hawkeyes for nine years and Long Beach State 49ers for one season. Known for player development and great recruiting, many of his former players have gone on to have impressive careers in the NBA. On October 23, 2008, Olson announced his retirement from coaching. Olson died on August 27, 2020, in Tucson, Arizona. He was 85 years old.
Charles W. Bidwill, sometimes known as Charley Bidwill, was an owner of the National Football League's Chicago Cardinals. He owned the team for 14 seasons, from 1933 through 1946.

Michael Joseph Stoops is an American football coach and former player, who is the inside linebackers coach at the University of Kentucky. He previously served as an assistant football coach at the University of Iowa, Kansas State University, and University of Oklahoma. He is the younger brother of Bob Stoops, the interim head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners football program, and the older brother of Mark Stoops, head coach of the Kentucky Wildcats football program. He returned to Oklahoma as the defensive coordinator in 2012. He served in the position until he was fired on October 7, 2018. After spending time at the University of Alabama as an analyst, he spent one season as the defensive coordinator of the Florida Atlantic Owls in 2021.
Troy McHenry Walters is an American football coach and former player who is currently the wide receivers coach for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). Walters played as a wide receiver and punt returner in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons. Walters played college football for Stanford University, was a consensus All-American and was recognized as the outstanding college wide receiver in the country. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings, and also played professionally for the Indianapolis Colts, Arizona Cardinals and Detroit Lions of the NFL.
Kevin Joseph Kasper is a former American football wide receiver of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the sixth round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played college football at Iowa.

Marvin McNutt, Jr. is a former American football wide receiver. After playing college football for Iowa, where he became the all-time leader in receiving touchdowns and yardage, he was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round, pick #194 of the 2012 NFL Draft. He was also the head coach of the Cedar Rapids Titans of the Indoor Football League (IFL) for the 2017 season and then the general manager in 2018.
The 2011 Iowa Hawkeyes football team represented the University of Iowa in the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Hawkeyes were led by head coach Kirk Ferentz, who was in his 13th season, and played their homes games at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa. They are member of the Leaders Division of the Big Ten Conference. They finished the season 7–6 overall and 4–4 in Big Ten Conference play to finish in fourth place in the Leaders Division. They were invited to the Insight Bowl, for the second consecutive year, where they were defeated by Oklahoma, 31–14.
David Lorenzo Shaw is the head coach of the Stanford Cardinal football team. Shaw was the team's offensive coordinator for the entire tenure of head coach Jim Harbaugh from 2007 to 2010. Previously, Shaw was a four-year letter winner playing as a wide receiver for the Cardinal from 1991 to 1994, where he was coached by Dennis Green and Bill Walsh. Prior to returning to Stanford as offensive coordinator, Shaw was Harbaugh's passing game coordinator at the University of San Diego and an assistant coach in the NFL for the Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders, and Baltimore Ravens.
