Donan Cruz is an American men's college volleyball coach, who currently serves as the head coach of the Ball State Cardinals men's volleyball team. [7] [8] [9] He previously held the same position at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa. [10]
In his first year as head coach at Ball State, the Cardinals compiled a 23-4 record and were the second seed at the 2022 NCAA Men's National Collegiate Volleyball Tournament. [11] To conclude the 2022 season, the Cardinals fell in five sets in the semi-finals of the 2022 NCAA Men's National Collegiate Volleyball Tournament to the eventual national champions, the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. The Louisville Cardinals are the NCAA athletic teams representing the University of Louisville. The Cardinals teams play in the Atlantic Coast Conference, beginning in the 2014 season. While playing in the Big East Conference from 2005 through 2013, the Cardinals captured 17 regular season Big East titles and 33 Big East Tournament titles totaling 50 Big East Championships across all sports. On November 28, 2012, Louisville received and accepted an invitation to join the Atlantic Coast Conference and became a participating member in all sports in 2014. "Arnie" Ball is a retired American volleyball coach best known for his 35 seasons as head coach of the men's volleyball team at Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW), now known as the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons. He ended his career in 2015 with a total of 570 wins as coach of the IPFW men, and also won 230 games as head coach of the IPFW women's team in the 1980s.
