Donny Ristanto [1] (born July 12, 1977) is a former professional Indonesian basketball player who played for Pacific Caesar Surabaya. He was one of the oldest active player in IBL Indonesia.

Professional career

Donny first team is CLS Knights Surabaya, then he moved to Indonesia Warriors (ABL), he also have played for Satria Muda Jakarta in the pre season tournament, and now he play for Pacific Caesar Surabaya.

The 2021 Indonesian Basketball League was the sixth season since the re-branding by Starting5. The regular season began on 10 March 2021 and was ended with the Finals in June 2021. In this season there would be no official preseason tournament and all-star games, while throughout the season would be played inside a bubble in Bogor and Jakarta due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, every player, staff, and official must follow the strict health protocols implemented by the organizers.

The regular season began on 15 January 2022 and was suspended on 2 February 2022 until 3 March 2022, then the remaining series at the regular season in Yogyakarta, Solo, Surabaya, Denpasar, as well as the post season in Bandung has been cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The series return again to "bubble" after many players get Covid-19.

John Todd Purves is an American basketball coach, who is the head coach of the Pacific Caesar Surabaya of the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL). Purves won the ASEAN Basketball League title in the 2012 season with Indonesia Warriors.

The 2023 Indonesian Basketball League is the eighth season of Indonesian top domestic basketball league since the re-branding by Starting5. This season marked the 20th Anniversary of the IBL indonesia since its establishment in 2003.

The 2024 Indonesian Basketball League is the ninth season of Indonesian top domestic basketball league since the re-branding by Starting5. It is also the 21st IBL season overall since its establishment in 2003. The season began on January 13 and scheduled to end in August 2024 with two breaks, one in February due to the general election and FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers and another due to Eid al-Fitr and lebaran.
