Doris Runge (born 15 July 1943 in Carlow) [1] is a German writer.

She was the daughter of a manufacturer whose business was expropriated after World War II. Her family moved to Neukirchen in Schleswig-Holstein in 1953, [2] and he attended schools in Oldenburg and Lübeck before following high education in Kiel where she became a teacher. She married the painter Jürgen Runge (1929–1992) and they divorced in 1981. They couple used to live partially in Ibiza during the 1970s. Runge moved back to Germany where she lives in the so-called Weiße Haus (White House) in Cismar  [ de ], Holstein. [3] She organizes there readings with important contemporary authors. [2] Runge has been continuously publishing poetry books since 1981. [2] She has an international standing (translations into Portuguese, American and Czech). [1]

Sibylle Lewitscharoff was a German author. She first wrote in her spare time as a bookkeeper, quitting after her first novel, Pong, appeared in 1998, and was successful with critics and the public, earning her the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize. It was followed by Consummatus (2006), Apostoloff (2009) and Blumenberg (2011). She received several German literary awards, including the Georg Büchner Prize in 2013, for "[re-exploring] the boundaries of what we consider our daily reality with an inexhaustible energy of observation, narrative fantasy and linguistic inventiveness.".

The international Paul Hindemith Prize promotes outstanding contemporary composers within the framework of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival (SHMF). The award commemorates the musical pedagogy of Paul Hindemith, who wrote the composition Plöner Musiktag in 1932 on behalf of the Staatliche Bildungsanstalt Plön. The music prize is endowed with €20,000 and goes together with a composition commission. The prize is presented annually by the Hindemith Foundation, the Walter and Käthe Busche Foundation, the Rudolf and Erika Koch Foundation, the Gerhard Trede Foundation, the Franz Wirth Memorial Trust and the Cultural Office of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg since 1990. From 2010 to 2013, the winner was found by a composition competition. The work of the prize winner is to be premiered within the frame of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival.
