Dot Dash Recordings is a collaboration between the two companies - Remote Control Records, which provides publicity, marketing and label management while Inertia Distribution looks after distribution and sales. Dot Dash Recordings was set up by Remote Control Records in mid-2004 as a new label for Australian artists. [1]

The label works exclusively with Australian artists, including Methyl Ethel, Client Liaison, Gabriella Cohen, Donny Benet and many more. [1] Previous label artists include Wolf & Cub, Ned Collette, New Buffalo, Deloris, Snowman, St. Helens, Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire!, Cloud Control and Young and Restless.

4AD is a British record label owned by Beggars Group. It was founded in London under the name Axis Records by Ivo Watts-Russell and Peter Kent in 1980 as an imprint of Beggars Banquet Records. Later that year, Watts-Russell and Kent purchased the label from Beggars Banquet to become an independent record label, and Kent sold his share to Watts-Russell a year later.

Falls Music & Arts Festival is a multi-day music festival held annually in Byron Bay and Fremantle, Australia over the New Year's Eve and January period. The festival hosts contemporary music performances, dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret, and other art forms. Camping is available and all locations have nearby beaches which are either walking distance or a short bus ride away. Artists playing at the festival include rock, hip-hop, indie music, electronic music, blues and roots.

Wolf & Cub are a psychedelic rock band from Adelaide, Australia. Three of the original members hail from Port Augusta. The four-piece were signed to record label 4AD, which make use of two drummers. This allows the percussive elements of their music to feature more prominently alongside the guitar. Their name derives from a comic from Japan, "Lone Wolf and Cub". Wolf & Cub signed to Last Gang records in North America. Their third studio album, Heavy Weight, was released in 2013.

Snowman was a band originally from Perth, Western Australia. They formed in 2002, relocated to London in 2008, and disbanded in 2011.

Like a Version is a weekly segment on Australian youth radio station triple j. It involves Australian and international artists playing two songs live in the triple j studio, one of their own songs and then a cover version, hence the name of the segment. The title is wordplay on the Madonna song "Like a Virgin".

Remote Control Records was established in 2001 by Steve Cross and Harvey Saward. It provides publicity, label management, distribution and marketing services to international and local artists and labels.

Deloris were an Australian indie rock band, which formed in 1994. They released four albums, Fraulein (1999), The Pointless Gift (2000), Fake Our Deaths (2004) and Ten Lives (2006) before disbanding in 2008. Long-term members were Daniel Brimelow on drums, Simon Heelis on bass guitar and guitar, Leigh Lambert on guitar and Marcus Teague on lead vocals, guitar and keyboards. They undertook tours of Australia both headlining and supporting other artists, Something for Kate, Augie March and Delgados. Teague became a solo artist as Single Twin and issued his debut album in 2011.

Ned Collette is an Australian singer, instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer now based in Berlin. He was a member of Melbourne instrumental band City City City and has since then recorded six albums, either as solo productions or with his band, Wirewalker.

Southbound was an arts, camping and music festival. A variety of Australian and international artists performed at this event. The festival occurred annually around New Year at the Sir Stewart Bovell Park in Busselton, Western Australia.

<i>Vessels</i> (Wolf & Cub album) 2006 studio album by Wolf & Cub

Vessels is the first full-length album from psychedelic rock group Wolf & Cub. It was recorded in Adelaide, Australia from April 2005 and released on 28 August 2006. The album was mixed by producer Tony Doogan after lead singer Joel Byrne travelled to Scotland for 3 weeks. Tony Doogan previously worked with artists such as Mogwai, Belle & Sebastian, Super Furry Animals, Dirty Pretty Things and The Mountain Goats. The album was mastered by Greg Calbi in New York. Vessels features nine completely new tracks from the band and a reworking of their earlier single "Steal Their Gold". It peaked in the top 100 of the ARIA Albums Chart.

Kwame Amankwa Kwaten is a British manager, music consultant, musician and record producer. He owns an artist management and consultancy company called Ferocious Talent and is a co-founder of Cr8ing Vision, a non-profit company that offers young people a range of educational programmes, seminars, workshops and opportunities in both the music and sport industries. Past and present artists managed by Kwaten include Laura Mvula, The Night VI, Steve Brown, Shannon Saunders and Kerry Leatham.

Yours and Owls is a brand and annual music festival held in Wollongong, Australia. It originated as a coffee shop, then a gallery and restaurant space, then a music venue, then pop-up gigs, a record label and now holds an annual music festival. in addition to events throughout the year in local venues.
