The Manchester Open previously known as the Northern Lawn Tennis Championships, the Northern Championships, the Northern Tennis Tournament and the Manchester Trophy was a grass court tennis tournament on the ATP Tour held at the Northern Lawn Tennis Club, in the Didsbury suburb of Manchester, Great Britain. The tournament had been held annually from 1880 to 2009.

The East of England Championships also called the East of England Lawn Tennis Championships was a men's and women's grass court tennis tournament founded in 1885 as the Felixstowe Open Lawn Tennis Tournament. In 1889 the event had by this time become a regional level tournament that ran until 1983 when it lost its status as a senior international tour level event. However the championships are still being staged today as the East of England and an LTA British Tour.

The inaugural men's singles event was won by Richard Taswell Richardson a two time Wimbledon finalist. It was staged only three times until 1883.

The championship was staged up to at least 1934.
The Newon Abbott Lawn Tennis Tournament a late Victorian era grass court tennis tournament staged first staged on 23 September 1878. The tournament was organised by the Newton Abbot Archery and Lawn Tennis Club, and was played at the South Devon Cricket Club Ground, Newton Abbot, Devon, England. The tournament was held until 1883.
