The Dr. C. B. Wilson House (also known as the Office of Fuller, Breslau, and Stinnett Attorneys) is a historic home in Sarasota, Florida. On March 22, 1984, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It originally was located at 235 South Orange Avenue. [2] In 2004, the house was planned to be demolished for the construction of a bank on the site. Funds were raised, and the house was moved to 4012 Honore Avenue inside of Urfer Family Park. [3] Today, the house is open for self-guided tours to the public. [4]

Long the winter headquarters of the Ringling Brothers Circus, many landmarks in Sarasota are named for the Ringlings.
The 1867 Matheson House is a historic building in Gainesville, Florida, United States. It is located at 528 Southeast 1st Avenue. It was the home of James Douglas Matheson and Augusta Florida Steele Matheson, the daughter of Florida pioneer Augustus Steele, who founded Hillsborough County and Cedar Key. James Douglas Matheson owned a dry goods store in downtown Gainesville and was active in local and state politics, as was his son, eight-term Gainesville mayor Chris Matheson, who was also a state legislator.

The Bee Ridge Woman's Club is a historic woman's club in Sarasota, Florida, United States. The club was founded in 1915 as the Get-Together-Club and took its name as Bee Ridge Woman's club in 1917. In 1922 construction began on a clubhouse and the building was completed in 1923. It is located at 4919 Andrew Avenue. On February 10, 1995, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
The Crisp Building is a historic building located at 1970 Main St. in Sarasota, Florida. The T. H. Crisp Company, a development agency led by Thomas H. Crisp, constructed the building in 1926. The Crisp Company built many of Sarasota's homes and residential developments in the 1920s and 1930s. The building has also served as a meeting hall for Sarasota's chapter of the Loyal Order of Moose. The building was designed in the Mediterranean Revival style and is one of the best-preserved examples of the style in downtown Sarasota.
The Roth Cigar Factory is a historic site in Sarasota, Florida located at 30 Mira Mar Court. The building operated as a cigar factory for Edward and Michael Roth from 1923 to 1938. On March 22, 1984, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
The Sarasota Opera House is an historic theatre, now opera house, located at 61 North Pineapple Avenue in Sarasota, Florida. The building was the vision of A.B. Edwards, the first mayor of Sarasota. It opened on April 10, 1926, with a three-story entrance containing "eight shops on the ground floor, 12 offices on the second floor, and 12 furnished apartments on the third, while the theatre's auditorium contained an orchestral pipe organ. As noted on the Sarasota Opera's website, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune hailed Edwards for "having admitted Sarasota into a fairyland of costly decoration, rich furnishings and never to be forgotten artistry."
Owen Burns was born in Fredericktown in Cecil County on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He was an entrepreneur, banker, builder, and land developer who at one time owned the majority of Sarasota, Florida and developed or built many of its historic structures, developments, roads, seawalls, and bridges. He became a leader in the community, contributing to its growth and development. He also played briefly for wicklow hockey club.
Downtown Sarasota Historic District is a 19 acres (7.7 ha) historic district in Sarasota, Florida. It is bound by 1st Street, Orange Avenue, State Street, Gulf Stream Avenue and North Pineapple Avenue. On April 9, 2009, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
Friends of Seagate Inc. was founded in the late 1980s by Kafi Benz as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Sarasota, Florida. The historic preservation group lead local efforts protect historic property in the Sarasota-Bradenton area from commercial development. The group later expanded its scope to include environmental conservation. Its most notable project was the preservation of Seagate, the former home of Cincinnati, Ohio, industrialist Powel Crosley Jr. and his wife, Gwendolyn, and its later owners, Mabel and Freeman Horton. In 2002 the organization tried to secure Rus-in- Ur'be, an undeveloped parcel of land in the center of the Indian Beach Sapphire Shores neighborhood, as a local park; however, as of 2014, real estate developers intend to build condominium units at the site.
There are 70 properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places in Albany, New York, United States. Six are additionally designated as National Historic Landmarks (NHLs), the most of any city in the state after New York City. Another 14 are historic districts, for which 20 of the listings are also contributing properties. Two properties, both buildings, that had been listed in the past but have since been demolished have been delisted; one building that is also no longer extant remains listed.

His work includes Cà d'Zan, the Sarasota Times Building (1925), Sarasota County Courthouse (1926), early residences in Temple Terrace, Florida, Sarasota County Courthouse (1927), Pinecroft, West Side YMCA on 63rd Street between Central Park and Columbus Avenue, Columbus Circle (1934) and Hendricks Memorial Chapel.
M. Leo Elliott was an architect known for his work in Tampa, Temple Terrace and Sarasota, Florida. His designs include the public buildings and first eight houses in the City of Temple Terrace, Florida (1921), Ybor City's Centro Asturiano de Tampa, Old Tampa City Hall, Osprey School, two buildings that were part of Florida College and the original Temple Terrace Estates, Masonic Temple No. 25 (1928), the 1920 addition to Sarasota High School and Historic Spanish Point. Several of the properties are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Chidsey Library or Chidsey Building is a historic building located in Sarasota, Florida at 701 North Tamiami Trail. The building was home to the city's first public library from 1941 to 1976.
Guy Wesley Peterson is an American architect based in Sarasota, Florida. Peterson is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and the recipient of the AIA Florida Gold Medal for his outstanding contributions to architecture. He has designed more than 200 structures in southwest Florida, including notable private and public works. Peterson is an adjunct professor of architecture at the University of Florida College of Design, Construction and Planning, and the author of Naked: The Architecture of Guy Peterson.
