On the occasion of the "Centenary of Indian Cinema" in April 2013, Forbes included his performance in Bangaarada Manushya on its list of "25 Greatest Acting Performances of Indian Cinema". Upon his death, The New York Times had described him as one of India's most popular movie stars.
Akshay Hari Om Bhatia, known professionally as Akshay Kumar, is an Indian actor and film producer working in Hindi cinema. Referred to in the media as "Khiladi Kumar", through his career spanning over 30 years, Kumar has appeared in over 100 films and has won several awards, including one National Film Award and two Filmfare Awards. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), before 2015 known as the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), is a public collegiate university in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. 47 Natkal is a 1981 Indian Tamil-language thriller film written and directed by K. Balachander. It was simultaneously made in Telugu as 47 Rojulu. The film stars Chiranjeevi, Jaya Prada, and Anne Patricia. Based on the novel of the same name by Sivasankari, it revolves around Vishali and how her marriage to Kumar (Chiranjeevi) lasts only 47 days. The Tamil version was released on 17 July 1981, and the Telugu version on 3 September 1981.
