Dreevay

Dreevay is a mock television magazine show in Trinidad and Tobago hosted by Reagan Des Vignes, broadcast Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Gayelle TV in Trinidad & Tobago.[ citation needed ] The word "dreevay" being patois for "knocking about", the show ranges from comedy to travelogue and beyond., and has run for at least seven seasons.

The show's most popular segment proved to be Dreevay's Next Top Synergistic Soca Model, which featured judges Tyra Blank (Cherane Peters) , who played Reagan's housemate, Twiggy Abdul (Giselle Thompson-Lowe), and Janice Cowell (Indra Ramcharan), a regular co-host on Dreevay. The winner of season 1 of DNTSSM was Saucy Aww, an outspoken Diva who was up against Cry Baby JJ. The second season of DNTSSM expanded the concept, with an array of "judges" all parodying celebrities and various aspects of both local and international pop culture.

The third season of the Dreevay commenced on April 2009. As of January 2024 only the first season of Dreevay is listed on TV Guide, "The Best of Dreevay", abeit as not being available for streaming. [1] Segments are available on YouTube, however, which demonstrate that it has been in production for at least seven seasons. [2]

She literally grew up on national television, eventually hosting shows such as the daily morning prime-time news and talk show T&T This Morning, the daily mid-morning talk show Community Dateline and the iconic teen talent show Party Time. In 2005, the government of Trinidad and Tobago closed TTT and in 2006 re-opened the station under the name Caribbean New Media Group (CNMG). CNMG was then closed in 2018.

The 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games, officially known as the VII Commonwealth Youth Games and informally as Trinbago 2023, was a youth sporting event for members of the Commonwealth that was held in Trinidad and Tobago. They were the seventh edition of the Commonwealth Youth Games. The games were initially scheduled between 1 and 7 August 2021 but were postponed and held from 4 to 11 August 2023 as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic and scheduling issues with the 2020 Summer Olympics and the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
