Drew Neemia (born 28 May 1985) is a New Zealand television presenter and director.
Neemia attended Hutt International Boys' School.[ citation needed ]
Neemia has been involved in the New Zealand entertainment industry since the age of three, doing television advertisements which led the way to various children's television drama series. His first major role was in the television series The Legend of William Tell . He was a Super Trouper in the television series McDonald's Young Entertainers for its duration of three years until 1999. [1]
Neemia hosted Sticky TV [2] a kids/teen program, on TV3 from 2006 on which he worked with Sam Wallace, Julia Bloore (née Wright), Erin Simpson and Kanoa Lloyd. He officially left the show on 1 May 2009.
Neemia co-hosted Drew and Shannon Live on Four (previously C4) until 2012. Drew and Shannon Live was a popular music and entertainment based show from 4.30pm-6pm weekdays. Previously Ne'emia hosted 'Select Live' on C4. [3]
As a singer, Neemia performed on numerous occasions at Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park. [4]
In 2013, Neemia teamed up with New Zealand rap group Smashproof singing the hook on the single "Paint Fade". [5] The song was number 1 on the overall iTunes chart for two weeks. "Paint Fade" went on to make the top 10 on the 'Official New Zealand Top 40' chart, peaking at number 6.
Neemia began directing in 2014.
In 2016, Neemia began training with New Zealand heavyweight boxing legend David Tua. In November 2016, he debuted in the boxing ring, winning by unanimous decision. His next bout will be scheduled mid 2017.[ needs update ] He has reportedly dedicated his life to martial arts. [6]
1 News is the news division of New Zealand television network TVNZ. The service is broadcast live from TVNZ Centre in Auckland. C4 was a New Zealand television channel owned and operated by MediaWorks New Zealand. C4 was available on both digital terrestrial and satellite platforms and played music around the clock, including from their radio side from The Rock, The Edge, The Breeze, More FM, George FM, Mai FM & The Sound. C4 also aired a lot of speciality music shows such as HomeGrown, Top 10/100, Video Hits, Fade To Black, Steel Mill and Biggest Records Right Now. The channel was originally launched in October 2003 as a re-branding of TV4 which had been broadcasting since 1997. On 1 May 2010, as C4 had been moving away from music programming since 2008, the jukebox side was split off and C4 launched a second C4 channel on Channel 9 called C4 2. C4 2 was only available on digital Freeview terrestrial and satellite platforms. At the end of 2010 an announcement was made that MediaWorks would again re-brand the current C4 channel as FOUR, which meant C4 2 would be converted to a music show as C4 was moved to its Channel 9 position. C4 shut down on Thursday 26 June 2014 at 01:00 am. It was replaced by The Edge TV the next day on Friday 27 June 2014 at 04:00 pm.
Newshub is a New Zealand news service that airs on the television channels Three and Eden, as well as on digital platforms. It formerly operated across radio stations run by MediaWorks Radio until December 2021. The Newshub brand replaced 3 News service on the TV3 network and the Radio Live news service heard on MediaWorks Radio stations on 1 February 2016. In late 2020, MediaWorks sold Newshub to US multimedia company Discovery, Inc. The acquisition was completed on 1 December 2020.

The 2013 New Zealand Music Awards is the 48th holding of the annual ceremony featuring awards for musical recording artists based in or originating from New Zealand. The main awards event will be held on 21 November 2013 at Vector Arena, Auckland and will again be hosted by Shannon Ryan, along with new host Stan Walker. Nominations opened on 27 May 2013 and closed on 8 July 2013. Eligible works were those released between 1 July 2012 and 30 June 2013. The ceremony will be broadcast on television channel Four, as will a red carpet special hosted by Drew Neemia and Sharyn Casey.
