Shafie S. Phiri (born 2 January 1998) is a Malawian artist better known by his stage name Driemo. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] He started his music career in early 2017 in Nkhotakota district. At the time, his stage name was Smart P, and he changed it into Driemo in 2020. [6] In 2021, he released "Duma", which garnered him a lot of commercial success. [6] His debut EP, "Love Letter", was a commercial success. Other successful singles include "Mojo" and "Weni-Weni". [7] [8] [9] [10]

He has collaborated with various artists such as Dalisoul from Zambia, Billy Kaunda, Allelluya Band and Katelele Ching'oma.

The Great Angels Choir is a CCAP gospel musical group from Lilongwe, Malawi. In 2016, the choir shared a stage with American singer, Don Moen. In 2023, it was rumoured that the choir was spliting to which it publicly denied. In September 2023, the choir collaborated with South Africa's Rebecca Malope in performance at the Blessings Gospel Concert at BICC in Lilongwe and other artists. In 2017, the choir hired Sipho Makhabane to spice their website.

She won the same award in the same category in 2020 and 2022.She was born in Mzuzu and moved to Southern Region to purse her career. She is a Tumbuka by tribe. Alleluya Band is an oldest Malawian music group founded by Paul Banda his brother Lucius Banda from Balaka. The band started and rose to fame in 1970s. The band's current leader is Coss Chiwalo. In 2021, the group released their 13th album in May. In 2018 and 2019, the band visited Rome and met with Pope Francis for Panama for World Youth Day. In 2020, after the band embarked from Italy, they were quarantined due to Covid-19. The band has also shared stage with different artists such as Skeffa Chimoto and Dan Lufani.

Inkosi Ya Makhosi Gwaza Jele (1791–1857) was the king of the Ngoni and Tumbuka people of Malawi, Zambia and Tanzania of the Jere Ngoni Clan from 1815 to 1857. He was the first born son of King Zwangendaba Hlatshwayo Jele. He passed away in July 1957 and his son, M'Mbelwa I, inherited his position the same year. The current king of the Ngoni is his great-grandson, M'Mbelwa V.

Thom Mpinganjira is a Malawian business tycoon and philanthropist. He is the founder and former CEO of FDH Financial Holdings Limited. He has also served as a council member of the Bankers Association of Malawi. He was a Trustee of the University of Malawi Alumni Association.

Dan Lufani, best known as Dan Lu, and sometimes written as Dan Lufan, is a Malawian Afro-pop singer and songwriter. In 2011, he was awarded as best Afro pop artist of the year in Malawi Music Awards. In 2016, he was nominated in best R&B/Afro-pop Act along with other artists such as Theo Thomson and Kell Kay.

Aubrey Ghambi, best known as Suffix, is a Malawian gospel rapper and songwriter. In 2020, he won a UMP Award in best gospel act. In 2018, his album titled "Before I Sleep" won the category Album of the Year in UMP Awards and he was nominated as Best Hip Hop Artist as well as Best Urban Gospel. In 2016, was nominated for the same category and award.

Noel Chikoleka better known by his stage name Phyzix, is a Malawian musician, rapper, songwriter and activist. He gained national recognition in 2006 when he released the song titled "Cholapitsa" (boogeyman) which sold over 40, 000 copies national wide with a month and has released over albums. In 2020, he won a UMP Award in Best Hip Hop artist of the year.

Maso Awards are Malawian music award show that was established in early 2019 to celebrate entertainers and other minorities in music, film, philanthropy and fashion. The event takes place in Malawian major cities and it is featured by performances from artists. They are one of the major Malawi's local music industry awards. The awards recognizes Malawian music from all genres, including gospel. The awards also promote culture and encourages people to showcase their talents. The awards categories are split into male and female.
